Ray single-handedly kept a team in games that probably would have been the first squad Husker squad to ever lose 20 games without him. Dude played 5-10 minutes more per game that he should have because he had to. Yes, Ray took a lot of low percentage shots....because a lot of time that team needed him to do so even when teams keyed on him. How was it that he was always taking "bad shots" yet Miles never took him out? How is the guy who is ruining the team playing the most minutes in Huskers history? I've argued with both Bogus and Gaskins on their REPEATED bashings of RG on twitter before as well. I guess that makes Gallegos the Dark Knight.2 points -

Frankly I dont give a hoot what offers this kid has or doesn't have, he can spot up for the three, dunk and has a little touch hook for down low. Looks like he can run the court and has very good athleticism! Sign him up. We need more of these types of players on the team!!! You can never have too many 6'7" players that can hit a three or drop down to the post and hit a baby hook!!1 point -

Can't see the video (work again) but did get the email that listed everything. Hoping to win today's prize. 5 to be able to eat at the training table - and they thought everything was fine after Andre left.1 point -
I think it's also important to note that the majority of these guys are going to be in Lincoln for 3-4 more years. We all want immediate results, but the fact is we have our core group of players set for the foreseeable future in Webster (FR), Hawkins (FR), Fuller (FR), Petteway (SO), Pitchford (SO), Shields (SO), and hopefully Atewe (FR). That's 6, maybe 7 players locked in until 2016 (hopefully) that are way more athletically/physically talented than probably 90% of our players in the past 10 years. Even if things are rough next year, it's very hard to not remain optimistic for year 3, 4, 5, etc. of Miles' tenure.1 point

HHC March Madness Bracket Challenge
Silverbacked1 reacted to hhcscott for a topic
Thanks for doing this. I've got a guaranteed winner. After the first round I just picked whichever team I disliked more to win. That way I'm certain to either be enjoying winning the brackets or seeing the teams I dislike fall. Win-Win!1 point -

And somewhere Benny Parker cries. Parker has the handles and the quickness. If he can consistently hit a jumper he'll be in the mix. I think the remark from Miles and my sensationalist topic title speaks more towards the flexibility of Pettaway as opposed to him playing point. I was a Parker fan when he got here. However, he is not a real good ball handler and it looks like he can't shot a lick. It looks to me like he has no confidence and that probably won't get better when he has some real competition next year. I think he should redshirt myself if he doesn't transfer to a lower division.1 point

I think you totally missed what I have been saying. I don't think you should ever dismiss a kid from the team unless some law has been broken or that player wants to leave. I am saying that if you got a player to come here it is for the whole time unless something happens that changes something like I stated above. Sorry if I came of any other way.1 point -

I'm sure you guys know this but just because a guy has taken all of his official visits, that doesn't mean he couldn't take visits on his own dime if he wanted to. Oh great that comment just put this thread over the 50 page mark.1 point -

It's hard to believe anyone who's watched our team this season can't understand the situation with Ray and his percentage/efficiency numbers. Either they're not watching before bloviating or they have absolutely no idea about the sport at all. That's not true at all. Don't tell me jacking up 271 3's and only getting to the foul line as a 2 guard 44 times is ok based on the situation. Drive and shoot! Drive and dish! You can't say that it's ok that half of those 3's if not more were ill advised 3's that he could have taken at any point in the shot clock.-1 points
