i'd take the first group.

Gill, Watson, Webster, Evelyn, Trueblood.

Best backcourt since Lue-Belcher-T.Piatkowski or Lue-Boone-Strickland-Wald? Quite possibly.

White, McVeigh, Roby, Fuller.

One of the better sets of wings in a while, probably behind White-Shields and Petteway-Shields, otherwise the best since the early to mid 90s. White being the best individual player at the position since either Petteway or (if you would take him over TP) Piatkowski.

Jacobson, Morrow, Horne, Hammond, Borchardt.

Well, this needs some work. Three decent options if you go with a traditional 4, and a backup center. If you want to make a splash next season, and in year five you need to (you really can't waste the last year you have AW3), you need someone who comes in ready to play.

ASU signed a 4 star PF today. not sure how that affects their recruitment of elijah.

It was a 2017 kid that played for Hurley Sr. Shouldn't make a difference either way.

When I saw them (Elijah plus mom) they never seemed to be very much into paying any attention whatsoever to the game. Hopefully they were busy informing every person they know that he had committed here but i bet they were finding other things to do on their phones. It's too bad, and maybe the observations are way off (hopefully), but he ain't comin here.

He seemed to be involved with the phone a bit, but so does every other 18-19 year. They love that social media and everything else. Just have to wait and see, but the first part was done and that was getting him on campus and with his mother.

Elijah and his Mom were very engaged, at the end of the game, with developments on the court. They were sitting side-by-side, at that time, and in deep discussion. Mom was clapping to the Nebraska fight song. Don't know what that means, but they seemed very interested in the moment.

Good news.  It is interesting.  I did not dwell on them, my mind and eyes were specifically on the floor.  I checked them out during time outs and the like.  So I am glad that my occasional observation resulted in a general  aberration.

I saw what I saw at the end of the game. No sarcasm. 100% accurately described. I then went and took their picture immediately after the game ended.

Earlier, they weren't sitting together--Mom was in the next row down, I believe, and all other reports above are accurate on Elijah being intent on his phone and not the game throughout--until the end when his Mom moved to the seat next to him.

By the way, Mom liked and retweeted my photo. She also retweeted a news article on Nebraska recruiting Elijah.

I kept my eye on him during the game and he was on his phone a lot but that doesn't mean anything.  Every recruit I've seen at basketball or volleyball games does the same thing.  I don't expect him to be on his feet screaming at the ref's during the game.  It will be the coaching staff and player interaction that hopefully will have the biggest impact on whether he comes here or not.  At least, we should know his decision very quickly and this won't get dragged out.

If I'm Miles, after the game, I'm sitting down with ET and pointing out ...

"OK, next year, here's how my lineup shapes up based on what we have on the roster:

PG  4-star Glynn Watson -- true freshman, broken into starting lineup

SG  4-star Anton Gill -- Louisville transfer, sitting out

SF  4-star Andrew White III -- KU transfer, playing great

PF  ?  (Morrow, McVeigh, Fuller?)

C  ?  (Jacobson, Hammond?)

We have most of the pieces in place.  Tonight, you saw how much we need a big man."

I admit I was hoping before the game that somehow it would be glaringly apparent that we needed a big man, yet still win the game.  Well, I guess I went 1-2.

Maybe that's why Hammond didn't play.  :o
