Watched his film a little. Looks like another JABB (just another big body). Nebraska needs that but ill warn you ahead of time. Hammond is athletically more impressive. This kid needs a few years to be a good player. Nearly all big men do.

I watched his film also and I thought he did a lot of things that I liked.  First of all, when he would set up in the low blocks, he would do it at 6'10" and 250 pounds.  I really liked the way he ran the floor at 6'10" and 250 pounds.  There were a couple of times in the flow of the game where he really stepped in and was 6'10" and 250 pounds.  So, I mean, I don't think we have anyone on our roster who can do those things at 6'10" and 250 pounds.

Intriguing information about this recruit is the offers he holds. According to Rivals, the offers include (in addition to Nebraska):

Arizona

Arizona St.

Baylor

LSU

Minnesota

Oklahoma St.

Pittsburgh

Providence

SMU

Virginia Tech.

If we land him, at least we know that other high-level schools think he is worthy of an offer--regardless of what we internet geniuses might argue.

As to Jordy, Pitt may be the real competition here. Pitt offers some opportunity for a big, with one exception: they will have a 6'11", 300 lb., center next year coming off a redshirt year--he'll be a junior, after playing his first two years at a Juco.

Pitt just lost their coach

A very interesting dynamic going on here. Jamie Dixon leaves Pitt for TCU.  Would Jordy be interested in going to TCU instead?  And TCU happens to be the school where Jordy's brother, Link, played his freshman year, then transferred to Blinn Jr College this year to garner more PT.

I can totally relate.  I'm always losing stuff.  I'd suggest checking between the cushions of the custom-made sofa in the players' lounge.

Oh, wait, they don't have one of those at Pitt.  :o

His tweets don't give much of a clue as to what he's thinking, but there is this nice video that might make you a little more interested in his abilities:

Would be music to my ears if we could hear "Bang-a-rang!" come after his shots.

Did he tweet "Blizzo"?  That rhymes with Izzo.  Gahhh!   He's going to be a Spartan.

Nebraska has recruited a bunch of big guys that cant play. That's the point. Your sarcasm and view that he is a good player because of his size is well beneath your own intelligence.

Oh, please.  Whatever.

Save your sanctimony for someone else.

You're the same guy who started a thread on November 28, 2015 entitled, "Any hope of a big man next year?"

Followed by starting a thread on December 15, 2015 entitled, "Nearly a decade since recruiting a true center, why?"

Followed by another thread on December 25, 2015 entitled, "10yr season ticket holder. Time to give up?."

Well, hey, guess what?  We're involved with a big man for next year, a true center, who happens to have offers from Arizona, Virginia Tech, TCU, Oklahoma State and Boston College among others, and you're going to look down your nose at him, the very kind of player you've claimed you've been wanting, because he's just not quite as pretty as you wanted?

Knock it off.
