So, what did Robin say about Jordy on the radio?

He's impressed with what the Huskers have to offer? Weighing his options but definitely has us under consideration and near the top of his list? Might have trouble getting him away from _______ or if his dream school _______ offers, but otherwise he likes our chances?

Just guessing. I didn't read or listen. I figured I could guess close enough.

still supposedly getting a visit but his brother who is handling the recruitment of Jordy recently had knee surgery so the original plan of a Feb 20 visit are on hold for now.

Lets be real and see what people think; who thinks that we land him, and what makes you think that?

I think we will because he said he wants to visit here and we have some of the best facilities in the country, and he said a big thing for him is playing time and thats our biggest thing we can offer him.

Here we go, for the people wanting to know the information.

Been on Nebraska's radar for a while...big boy..6'11' and 250-260

Playing in one of the better prep schools out east and has been a late bloomer. Fits exactly what Nebraska is looking for: true center, lane clogger. Latest news where Nebraska stands: Nebraska and Pittsburgh currently the two schools that he plans on visiting which bodes well for their chances.

He has a lot of the signs of the kind of guys that sign with us:

- Big family influence a.k.a. isn't going to sign somewhere for dumb reasons

- Has at least mentioned academics and schools seems relevant to him

- We have a relationship that is almost 2 years old

- Isn't a guy who lives on social media

I'm really beginning to like our chances here!  (seems to me to be a Leslee Smith-type, big, hard to move lane clogger, etc; and our need is undeniable)  Not only does he seem to like us, he seems to be somebody we (as fans) can really warm-up too.

Andrew White III is also someone that put a big emphasis on academics when choosing a school.  :)

I could be wrong...but I thought I read at one point...maybe a few years ago when the early rankings came out he was a top 50 recruit but he was having some weight issues.  The potential seems to be there....may not be the immediate impact guy we would all like but someone who will grow into a very good center for us.

I just watched Sunrise Christian Academy play On Point Academy out of Oklahoma and I was impressed by a Player from Sunrise.  His name is Isiah Jasey who is 6'10" is very athletic, jumps extremely well, runs the floor, and is a good shooter. He was 3 of 4 from the line.  He is a junior on a totally Senior team.  I hope Nebraska has him on their radar.

all i know is we are getting destroyed inside. I think we need at least 2 more bigs 6'9+ to really compete next year.

I know norm wants another shooter, but i think you just have to hope anton is that guy and start looking for Bigs.

depending if there is a transfer or transfers, then maybe there'd also be room for another shooter.

Nahhh... I am good with one. We have Jacobson and Ed who can both give him a breather.

jacobson and ed have not been able to guard true centers all year. i'd like to get a guy like jordy and a juco/transfer with some experience. i'd say a combo guard that can shoot would be our next priority.

He's probably had weight issues and he's one of those guys who has only been playing basketball for 3-4 years.

I think he's a guy that takes a couple of years to be a major contributor if he comes here though you hope the whole process of bringing JH, EM, and MJ means that they're more capable of defending the post next year. If he was ready to be a 20+ minute player next year he'd be rated 5 stars.

That's the good thing about 5 star kids coming in as freshmen.  They're ready to contribute right away, no need for a redshirt!

He was on our radar.  I'd been keeping an eye on him until 247 declared him 100% to Texas.

He's a consensus 4-star, top 100 kind of player.  We got an unofficial visit from him in October.

There was some reference within this thread (I thought) that Jordy would be visiting this weekend.  Has anyone seen a confirmed visit date?

His brother had knee surgery and is taking all visits with him so he wont be coming until his brother can travel.

He was supposed to but his brother is handling his recruitment and his brother is recovering from a knee surgery and cannot travel. He's going to make an official here however there is currently no set date.

The last i heard is that he's not visiting this weekend. His brother that was going to accompany him is having a surgery done, if I recall correctly, so that precluded the visit. I don't know if it has been rescheduled.
