I was talking to Brian Rosenthal on Saturday while shadowing Brian Christopherson, from the Lincoln Journal Star, at the Spring Game, and he thinks that the Huskers will land Ayegba Abraham, the transfer from Georgetown. Kenya Hunter most likely a major player in this.

Wow, Rosenthal going out on a limb there!

BR has to tweet it before it is official.

And to think that Hunter is playing a major role in recruiting the Georgetown transfer...this is mind blowing! BR knows his stuff! Now just make it official already!

Just got around to re-reading the OP after all my smarty pants responses...who is Abraham? Is that a 2nd transfer besides Moses Ayegba? Because that would be kinda cool. Or did we just get all the bible names mixed up?

That's also his name. All three combined is his name but switched it after high school. He uses all three on twitter.

Looks like Moses Ayegba Abraham is 'N':

It's weird he this hasn't already been announced if it's going to happen.

Yep really weird that he wouldn't just do it if he was going to do it.

AFAIC-this is a great pick-up.   Big, looks the part, gives us help in the paint we don't have and certainly don't have if we leave it open.  And if it doesn't pan out, no biggie, he's gone after this year anyways,  This would be different if he had 2-3 years of eligibility left.

I agree.  It would be nice to have someone that had more production last season, but I don't think Hammond would give us more off the bench than Ayegba next season- Ayegba at least has 2 years of experience playing in a power conference.

At the end of the day, this basically just allows us to redshirt Hammond for sure and adds some depth- not sure how much but it can't hurt.

Ayegba, with that frame and experience (2 years in the actual Big East), will still be better than 90% of any freshman bigs out there.  Combined, I think he and Hammond will be formidable.  Great pickup.  Again, don't forget about the change of scenery.  Having a clean slate is great for many players.  There will be a lot of positive energy surrounding him.  Fantastic.
