hhctony Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 Sunday should be fun! We'll see what happens. Quote
HuskerCager Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 Dang. That stinks. We just couldn't finish them off. My hats off to the Buckeyes. Delle Valla and Craft were money down the stretch. That said, we should be in the dance. Still a lot to be thankful for this year. Quote
Silverbacked1 Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 Thad May be the biggest dumb a$$ in the league. Della Villa is so smart. I just puked all over the place. Quote
huskerbaseball13 Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 Players and coaches have nobody to blame but themselves. Miles needs to learn how to draw up an inbounds play the players let OSU take it to them at the end. Quote
Omaha Nebrasketballer Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 Whatever. We are still in the big dance. Now we get more time to rest up for next weekend. (Searching for positives) Silverbacked1 1 Quote
Boots Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 We better hope the bracket projection with us playing VCU isn't true because with they're pressure they would f***ing kill us after how we handled OSU's press. Quote
Fullbacksympathy Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 Nice saving face on the Craft calls at the end. Horse shit reffing this game. Quote
a0t0w0 Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 Fucking fouls. How are you supposed to play when there's a foul every possession? That 55 minute stretch from the 15:00-8:00 mark completely took us out of it. Destroyed our momentum. Destroyed our flow. Just as frustrated with this game as I was the UMASS game. The calls went both ways for the most part, BUT THAT TYPE OF REFFING SHOULD NOT BE ACCEPTABLE. Quote
tcp Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 We better hope the bracket projection with us playing VCU isn't true because with they're pressure they would f***ing kill us after how we handled OSU's press. not necessarily. we've been pressed before, but what we've done is draw fouls on the passes. today, we never got whistles on all the contact on the inbounds coverage. i think that made a huge difference. this is only the 2d game I've seen this season where I thought the refs were a major factor in the outcome. Ron Mexico Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 Time to forget this one and change the focus to dance preparation. Silverbacked1 1 Quote
berlinblackshirts Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 I am really disappointed and yes the refs sucked. But it's over now and will most likely be a very good learning experience for our guys. They will get the monkey of the back next week. Silverbacked1 1 Quote
GoBigRed Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 This is going to have us so ready to play next week. It sucks now, but this team always plays better with a chip on its shoulder, and it will now have a big one. Silverbacked1 1 Quote
49r Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 That 55 minute stretch from the 15:00-8:00 mark completely took us out of it. It seemed like it, didn't it? a0t0w0 and Silverbacked1 2 Quote
hal9000 Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 I'm so fucking sick of what they always let Craft get away with. All refs that give in to his style of play are shams and a disgrace to the game of basketball and mock the memory of James Naismith. HolyBobpilgrimage 1 Quote
huskerbaseball13 Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 I think we are in. But we have no idea what they are thinking. We wouldn't be the first team to get screwed over. Quote
gobigredbrah Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 Hate how craft reaches in the entire game and the refs swallow their whistle Terran did it to once della volley, his hand came down while della valle flopped backwards and refs still called it. Also, why did we stop going to Pitchford? Coaches deserve some blame on that one. Pitchford was keeping us ahead.... until we stopped getting him the ball. Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 The game was over when Us Always went out the door and Me ball came out up 18. They got away from their principles and it cost them. The back breaker was Walt's showtime failure. Silverbacked1 1 Quote
cozrulz Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 No more Petteway as the inbounder. Actually, don't let him touch the ball until past half court. He has been bad all year with press break and today it came back and bit us. Also, get a few more inbounds plays. The one we ran was something you would see in little kid basketball. Guys running in circles and no screens isn't going to get it done in college basketball. Quote
nuled2dance Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 Just hurts....we have to rebound better and also have to beat the press Quote
nuled2dance Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 Can't blame the refs guys we chocked in the monent . hope we clean the press break Quote
colhusker Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 Hate how craft reaches in the entire game and the refs swallow their whistle Terran did it to once della volley, his hand came down while della valle flopped backwards and refs still called it. Also, why did we stop going to Pitchford? Coaches deserve some blame on that one. Pitchford was keeping us ahead.... until we stopped getting him the ball. Given the new foul rules, Craft should foul out of every game. He is the only player allowed to still touch and bump out front. Quote
a0t0w0 Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 I really don't think Walt was going broadway on that. I looks like he caught it awkwardly. Either he could have just landed and laid it in. Silverbacked1 1 Quote
Silverbacked1 Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 Both teams were in the double bonus at by at least the 10:00 mark. We were shooting two at10:47 I think. Just think the B1G was a driving lay up from Ill OSU in this side of the bracket. They really happy with the OSU Mich. though. I think I will use way less the needed for the 24. hour rule. Do we have any details on Sunday yet? Quote
brfrad Posted March 14, 2014 Report Posted March 14, 2014 The announcers talking about the hatred for Craft, saying about all the stuff he does. Yes, he does good things, but he is a dirty player that has a reputation as a great defender. In realty he is not. He does move his feet, but he also slaps the opposing players arm a lot. Quote
