basketballjones Posted March 19, 2017 Report Posted March 19, 2017 I saw Daum play twice in hs left severely underwhelmed each time. When he turned up at SDSU after his redshirt season and exploded I was purely shocked. And you guys know I'm desperate to get some in state kids. hhcmatt 1 Quote

Only once have we filled it with a mid-season transfer. I'm excited for his potential, but I'd love it if at least occasionally that scholarship had been filled. Someone like a Tre'Shawn Thurman would have been a perfect use of that open scholie. There are plenty of in-state guys that could have been the 13th guy on the roster. That doesn't seem unreasonable to me. No longer with the Omaha Mavs...... Quote

AuroranHusker Posted March 27, 2017 Report Posted March 27, 2017 Wonder what this means for TT..... Quote
The Polish Rifle Posted March 27, 2017 Report Posted March 27, 2017 Thurman is a nice player, and could play here - but he doesn't play a position of need, Miles will look elsewhere. Quote
khoock Posted March 27, 2017 Report Posted March 27, 2017 Highly unlikely, but maybe we will get the chance to see if Thurm can play for Nebraska and in the Big Ten any day of the week like Mr. Sam said. Quote
khoock Posted March 27, 2017 Report Posted March 27, 2017 On a serious note does anybody have any info? I don't believe he is graduating this year so he will sit one to play one right? Maybe he wants to link up with Tazz and JP (assuming he's not gone) and play for Creighton. Quote

AuroranHusker Posted March 27, 2017 Report Posted March 27, 2017 Found this from Swaggy T. Seems like a sound take. Quote
uneblinstu Posted March 27, 2017 Report Posted March 27, 2017 Interesting move. I'm assuming he's graduated? Quote

khoock Posted March 27, 2017 Report Posted March 27, 2017 Wow the family made the decision for him? Not a fan of that at all. Quote
busticket Posted March 27, 2017 Report Posted March 27, 2017 Sucks for UNO. I wonder how many programs want to take a kid for one year to play one year. TT is a nice player, though. He had some crazy dunks for the Mavs this year. Quote
AuroranHusker Posted March 27, 2017 Report Posted March 27, 2017 Add that to Jess Shepard transferring from Nebraska, and it's been quite a day for in-state prospects moving on... Quote
hskr4life Posted March 27, 2017 Report Posted March 27, 2017 Big question is... what team is going to give up a scholarship for 2 years, to get just 1 year of PT? colhusker 1 Quote

This was my initial thought too. I don't think Creighton or Nebraska are willing to give up two years of scholarship to play one though. Quote

bigFRED Posted April 4, 2017 Report Posted April 4, 2017 Besides Ed Chang, I'd say the best in state prospect is Kanon Koster out of Kearney. Worth a look http://www.ncsasports.org/mens-basketball-recruiting/nebraska/kearney/kearney-sr-high-school/kanon-koster hhcmatt and basketballjones 2 Quote
