He's just a junior.  There are plenty of juniors who haven't taken the ACT or SAT yet.  I think this weekend is one of the dates, though, and if he's coming here he probably isn't taking it this weekend.

You're right, this is one of the weekends. Kind of surprising that if he won't take the ACT a single time before his senior year.

So nothing really unknown with the newest update after the game.  he liked the coaches, facilities, etc.  Plans on narrowing things down after the summer but not in any hurry to make a decision.  Will hold the teams currently whom have offered him to a higher level than any team that jumps in late but just wants the best fit for him.

Sounds like we will get him assuming a major power house doesn't jump in late (duke, north carolina, syracuse, etc.)

Must get IMO.  Great player from a national powerhouse.  He could be a stud for us.

Glad we were involved early and established relationships through an assistant who didn't bolt to another contender. 

 

Back when Doc was still here, we talked about Mike Gesell being sort of a litmus test on Doc's ability to recruit.  If we didn't land Gesell, it was like confirmation or proof that Doc wasn't a good recruiter.  I wonder if Morrow represents a similar litmus test for Miles.  He has ties to the school since both of his parents went here.  He has ties to the town since I think he lived here during grade school. 

 

The table is set and I'll be extremely disappointed if we don't land this kid.

While I will be dissapointed, I don't think it's a litmus test. He has more interested schools from higher levels. Gessell was local, not playing for a school or program who produced players like Derek Rose. My concern w Mike G was it seemed like we half assed his recruitment.

I want Ed to be a Husker and think we are in the lead but it's gonna be a brawl.

Yeah but who knows what goes on in the head of a 18 year old kid.

Do we still think Tim screwed up if he goes to one of the top programs like UK, or UNC or even MSU?

We got him here on his own dime, he should come back on our dime sometime this fall, but after that it is really just a toss of the dice.

All recruiting is. I think that is why I liked the old days when we only knew about a kid when he or she signed. Because we didn't have 100,000 guys trying to sell themselves as some sauvant.

Just me, we get him the best thing ever, until somebody better comes along and then we worry about if tht kid likes us enough to play here. It gets kind of tiresum for this old guy.

Taking a cursory look at Gopherhole, it appears that Minnesota is offering just about every 2015 prospect they can talk to.  I'm not sure how much of a fight they're gonna give us for Morrow...

I would worry if some body comes in late that is a name, but he might be like Lue and stick with us because we were first and have stuck with him.

Like i said earlier, I try to stay out of recruiting, but if he said that that would be an even bigger plus for us.

I really like what I see and hear about this young man. Hope he makes it here.

To paraphrase, he said he believes the schools truly interested have probably already talked to you, he's not going to try for any big time offers, that's not the goal for his summer, he just wants the right fit and a school where he can be successful.
