Norm Peterson Posted May 16, 2014 Report Posted May 16, 2014 @VerbalCommits: 2015 Simeon (IL) F Ed Morrow has received an offer from Creighton. (HT @Jeremy_Woo) http://t.co/5JrrwKEStp His parents won't let this happen, will they? I'm sure they were in on him first. Hooper, bobcat402 and ajb5856 3 Quote
49r Posted May 16, 2014 Report Posted May 16, 2014 Only delusional cornholer fans who don't know anything about college basketball and are complete idiots would think otherwise, Norm. LSEHusker and Norm Peterson 2 Quote
Hooper Posted May 16, 2014 Report Posted May 16, 2014 The narrative will be that his parents only played for Nebraska because Creighton wasn't interested, so they spent four years in misery at UNL, dreaming of what it would have been like had they been able to play for the Jays instead. Now they want their son to live the Bluejay dream they never got to live so that they can experience it vicariously through him. FredsSlacks 1 Quote
lanigan123 Posted May 16, 2014 Report Posted May 16, 2014 I agree. It's refreshing, but it's so different than the kids who constantly talk, see Jordan Cornish. I read an article that said he doesn't even have a cell phone. We don't really even know his deciding fActors. I hope we start closing on these higher profile guys. Quote

It's hard not to be impatient. I do think it will take some more building/success and we'll be there. By the way, I didn't mean to jump on you about the post of Illinois coming into the picture with Morrow. I'll try to behave. Quote
Norm Peterson Posted May 19, 2014 Report Posted May 19, 2014 I like the size of the fight in this dog. I think undersized PFs can do well in the college game. An overabundance of athleticism can certainly make up for a lack of size. Especially if there's an abundance of fight. Aggressiveness and athleticism trump size in most college PFs. Please, let's get this kid. Nebrasketballer, NeHoops and Neebraska 3 Quote
lanigan123 Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 Ed is dominating the paint on offense and defense today. Quote

lanigan123 Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 If he grows 2-3 inches, it could be. If he was 6'9 or 6'10 he would be a top top player. Quote
OurDecay Posted May 24, 2014 Report Posted May 24, 2014 He will be a Husker. Edit: that's not based on any inside info...just my prediction. ShortDust 1 Quote

GoBigRed Posted May 25, 2014 Report Posted May 25, 2014 Miles is so incredible that he now has the ability to see into the future whom Creighton will offer, so he can make it appear that he was in "first", while in reality obviously Creighton targeted him first. Huskerpapa Posted May 26, 2014 Report Posted May 26, 2014 http://blogs.twincities.com/gophers/2014/05/25/gophers-recruiting-mac-irvin-fire-forward-ed-morrow/ “I know for one thing he’s a great guy and he cares about his players,” Morrow said about Pitino. “They’re a run and gun team. They like to move the ball and shoot it. Overall, I like the program.” Morrow, a three-star prospect ranked 106th in the 2015 class by Rivals.com, is being recruited harder by other Big Ten schools such as Iowa and Nebraska (his dad played football and mom played basketball for the Cornhuskers). But he still wants to get to know the Gophers’ program better moving forward. “I’ll get down there on a visit,” Morrow said. “I talked to (Pitino) before I came down here. He was telling me like how he wanted me to come to campus. But I couldn’t do it because of the rules (recruited dead period).” Quote

He also says facilities won't have that big of impact on his decision. This is a kid that I'm keeping my fingers crossed Miles can land but it won't be easy. Quote
