Sometimes, all you gotta do is win the mom. Or the dad.

I'd think that would already be done assuming she enjoyed her time in Lincoln. I mean she did find her husband there so that's a great memory. Plus they now play more games closer to their home than the big 12 and the new facilities are a big plus.

Heck, move back to Nebraska, but this time in Omaha.  Get the kid to play at Central (there's growing publicity with that program), and get the hell away from all that gunfire!

I don't think lack of basketball talent and exposure are a good reason to not move to Nebraska.

Mike Gesell started for Iowa as a Freshman, and only averaged 25 points in class B Nebraska basketball. Virtually every D1 school offered Akoy. I think Edward can become a better player without living in chicago.

Why would they risk all their lives in Chicago if they all want to be in Nebraska?

I think the family ties to Chicago with a sick mom and it being "home" plays more of a role than they let on.

I hope we have the legacy in ala Shavon Shields.  I also hope entire family follows him back.

With a sister in Lincoln and the younger kids wanting to move back it bodes well.  It sounds like they all enjoy Lincoln and seems like "home" for them.

FYI...not that it means much but 5 staff members of 247sports.com as of a few weeks ago have predicted Morrow to sign with NU.  Hope they are right....would be a nice get, very good player from a powerhouse basketball program.  They rank him as the #107 players in the nation for his class.

Wow.  That was a heck of a story.  I has always wondered is he was related to our own Ed Morrow from the 90's.  That's a pretty tough life they've carved out for themselves in Chicago; I can see why the younger kids want to return to Lincoln!   I was impressed at how good of an attitude the kids have given the parameters in which they have to live for the sake of safety.  That is a very disciplined family to say the least.

The perfect ending to the story would be the son returning to the parent's alma mater to get his degree  B)

What I LOVE about this kid is he will be here and he gets life. He gets the sacrifice that has to be made to achieve great things, beyond that he came from a program where you compete at a level most of our players haven't competed with, internally on a team and externally. Depending on where he grows I can see him playing the 3 or the 4, he would need to bulk up to play the 4 but Miles like the stretch 4. To me he brings so much to the table.

Video with what it says are junior highlights for Morrow - pretty much all dunks and blocked shots, but he does shoot a couple of free throws toward the end.

Intriguing player - would be nice to take advantage of our "in" and get him here.
