brfrad Posted February 22 Report Posted February 22 Indiana needs to find players willing to get on the floor for loose balls. Every time there was a loose ball where the teams had to get on the floor, it was always Nebraska. Not once did Indiana get on the floor. Indiana has to find those players. It took Fred a few years to realize it's not just the number of stars the player has, but the effort those players give. NUtball, arliepro, 1HuskerDad and 2 others 2 3 Quote

It's uncanny. Hopefully he puts together a solid JR. year that is good from start to finish. GBR Quote

He was critical tonight and has been in other games as well. Maybe he does not play with as much outward emotion as others and I do recognize he has made some lazy passes on occasion but he has been a lockdown defender against some key opponents, a big time scorer who is probably our best player at creating his own shot which is sometimes necessary and a key rebounder at times as well. We ask him to do a ton of things on the floor and he does them very well. Plus I am not sure we have ever had a guy who so consistently knocks down key free throws at the end of games. I love Keisei and Reink and Juwan is the team leader and maybe my favorite player - but Brice is absolutely critical to the success of this team as well. Thank you, BB. I have felt like one of the very few who loves what Brice gives to this team. He's a baller. A very nice player. I think he'll take over games A LOT next season. GBR REDZONEDAN 1 Quote

He has some some MJ and Kobe in his form shot/jumper. He can even back down a defender and shoot the fade away. Please don't take that as he is the next MJ or Kobe . But I do see some offensive qualities that make him MJ or Kobe Lite by Nebrasketball standards! Edited February 22 by jason2486 Quote

If I had to vote for a team MVP to this point in the season I’d choose Mast. We have struggled this year when he doesn’t play well, but we were much better on both ends last night when he was on the bench and the +/- confirms that. That’s a good thing going forward imo. Quote

Vinny Posted February 22 Report Posted February 22 Oh no, Allick! Don’t give them bulletin board material incase we see them again in the B1G tourney. We all know how playing Minnesota a third time worked out last year. Quote

Bugeaters1 Posted February 22 Author Report Posted February 22 Add another one to the list of games where I (irrationally) have been frustrated with Brice in the first half for seeming to calm and cool, almost appears uninterested. Only in the second half those exact same qualities make him the most important player on the team battling through tough stretches. I love watching guys like Josiah and Keisei who put every emotion out on display. But we need guys like Brice. Not too high, not too low.Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk nuhusker7 1 Quote
Faux Mike Peltz Posted February 22 Report Posted February 22 BTW, I love it when KT or any other player goes on what Fred calls a “heater” Other guys sense it and find him and it has to be demoralizing to have a dude throwin up those shots and seeing them continue to go in. Would love to see the Indiana crowd’s reactions after some of those threes dropped cornfed24-7 1 Quote

Call it, fodder, not bulletin board material I guess. Quote

His decision making has gotten immensely better. But like last game. Has a 1 v 2 and pulls it out. You think he's gonna set it up the offense, instead he goes 1 v 3. He's as an important piece to this puzzle as any other. Yeah, I can see that side of it. No one seemed to retract their disdain, though. I guess I see the whole picture, you gotta take the bad with the good, he's definitely progressing forward, and he will be great next year in Lincoln. GBR Quote
