Slim pickings for Iowa musicians. Nebraska isn't any better.  I'll go Andy Williams. This is actually a pretty catchy tune from back in the early 60's.

Well, Lincoln at least had Matt Sweet who was one of the better dudes in the AO when I was still playing. He's had a nice career. But you're right: Nebraska's been thin on musicians. I met Chip Davis a few times when I was in high school as my step dad was his insurance agent and that's when the whole Fresh Aire thing was at its peak. Nebraska's done way better on the acting front than the music front.

Everyone is forgetting about Glen Miller.

I thought he was from Fort Morgan, Colorado.

We all know “the day the music died” was near Clear Lake, Iowa.

Early life and career. The son of Mattie Lou (née Cavender) Miller and Lewis Elmer Miller, Alton Glen Miller was born in Clarinda, Iowa. He added the second n to "Glenn" during high school. Like his father (Lewis Elmer) and his siblings (Elmer Deane, John Herbert and Emma Irene), Miller went by his middle name, Glenn.

Iowa fans do not think we'll get this thing in tomorrow.

"How do people think this happens?! It’s not just 30 players, a handful of coaches and 3 referees. You’re asking local people to drive in a blizzard to serve a ****ing ice cream cone and serve idiots beer. Stupid decision play if the forecast holds.
Also the women’s team from IU isn’t getting in if they leave 3 hours earlier. If they didn’t leave today, no airline is going to be sending a plane into the scheduled winds with some snow."

When I think of Iowa and rock and roll I think of the tragic death of one of the most important people in rock history.  It was also about this time of the year. (Feb 3)

Wife's family is from Iowa and I always blame Iowa for his death😆 They do not enjoy my sense of humor.

According to Fran— officials were able to make it in and game should be a go.  Fans on the other hand?? There might be 1000… maybe!

So storming the court afterward could amount to just walking toward the exit!

Maybe they need to pipe fan noise in like they did back in the C19 days.

This from a Husker fan living in Iowa!

"If you are not already in Iowa City, I recommend watching on TV. I-80 is nasty and will remain so through tomorrow morning. "
