I like the potential of the current group and think it's a deeper team, but not sure yet that the top-end talent is at the same level.  That said, the competition bar is also higher, I think, especially in the NIL era and with conference consolidation of power.  As a result, I'm not getting my hopes up, but will continue to enjoy being a fan of "my" team.

No offense to Henry, but I'm taking Kye in that matchup every day.

Don't think there's a Petteway on this team, but I don't think that's a bad thing. That's not a dig on him either he's up there on my favorite Huskers list. On the flip side there sure as hell wasn't a Tominaga on the old team.

I'm all in on this roster. I like it. I am no longer not sure if this looks like a tournament team. This looks like a tournament team. Not a lock but one that just gets in. One that causes a bunch of anxiety on Selection Sunday. But still a tournament team.

7 players in that "junior" class. I know class distribution doesn't mean much anymore, but seems like Fred is going all in these next two seasons, tourney or bust.

Anyone else remember the year we had about four guys in the starting lineup that was a "Jr."?

I believe it was like 2018.  IIRC we had:

James Palmer Jr.

Glynn Watson Jr.

Isaiah Roby Jr.

Isaac Copeland Jr.

The funny thing about that year is they were all Juniors too, except Roby who was a Sophomore.

Brice intrigues me at 6’7”, 40% from 3, 85% from the line, 14 ppg last season.

Not to put that much on the kid but he kind of screams the same long scoring wing (TP, JPJ) that we’ve had previously.

That tourney team had some serious defense though.  I think we’ll have better shooting but TP, SS, Gallegos (elite perimeter defender), Webster, Rivers, Benny Parker, Smith could all really get after it defensively.  And Pitchford was a matchup nightmare when he was dialed in.

Very excited to see how this upcoming roster shakes out though, I agree.  It’s as complete as any I can remember this millennium.

I don't believe Isaiah was a "Junior".  His dad was Roderick Roby.

That team finished 51st on BartTorviik, current team is preseason 45.

Here's what we have 👆

That leaves us 2 scholarship spots available.

Now, what do we need?

Maybe I'm imagining that one...but still...

we had three juniors on that team that were "Juniors".  That was pretty remarkable to me.

It would be nice to land one more front court player with Blaise’s injury problems.  And hopefully Gary’s shoulder is good to go.

If the guard play is up to snuff, this upcoming season could be a special group. I really like the makeup of the post position and Brice on the wing. I believe Fred & Co. could have a quality roster to do B1G things for NU. At least that's my hope and expectation, until proven otherwise. GBR

I'm pretty sure it was Anton gill who was the 4th junior, not roby
