  1. 1. Seems like everyone thought the season could be over if we didn't win tonight and didn't like what they had seen the first few games. After tonight how would you describe your feeling towards the team's performance so far?

    • Not satisfied
    • Satisfied
    • Very satisfied
    • Unfathomably satisfied

I said very satisfied because I thought we NEEDED a split withTTech and Clemson.

If we can get 3 more non-con and 13 in the conference thats a good seed with a reasonable chance at the Sweet 16.

Can't expect any more than that with our history and the inevitable pressure to get a win that comes with every tourney berth.

Wait, who said this season would be over if we lost this game? That's Ludacris! But that's just by 50 Cent.

"It's early,   We can rebound.  But as Dave said in the other thread, we just gave away one of the two non-con games we could afford to lose.   No margin of error in losing to Creighton or Okie State now.   Also makes me nervous, because if we do trip up against Creighton....the hot seat is going to be piping (and that's fair) and I worry what that does to us the rest of the year"

There were a few comments similar to this I was overreacting this isn't way to negative and many people didn't post afterwards so the mood probably wasn't what people were really feeling overall.

Why think negatively?  What if we don't trip up against Creighton and Okie State?  Hey, the reality is that most every team is going to have a stinker, or two or three per year.  This team seems pretty savvy don't you think?  We are going to be okay.

Whoever voted for "Not Satisfied" should come out of the woodwork and tell us how in the hell you are not satisfied with a 6-1 record, a home win over the Big East (Seton Hall) and a road win over the ACC (Clemson).  Every fan base in the country would at least be "satisfied" with that slate.

Likely a closet Creighton fan...

You can see who voted not satisfied. Just don't think that they will live up to the hype. I'm looking at the big picture here.

I'm still iffy. Don't get me wrong, this was a BIG win and I'm happy......but I'm still frustrated with our play against tech and a little tonight. Tonight was much better in terms of not taking such ridiculous shots. However, we still stall out too much for my liking on offense and I still maintain we let teams get into the paint too easily against us. For whatever reason rebounding is just going to be a tough chore for this team and we may just have to live with it.

That said if we make improvements on offense then I'll worry about defense less and less.

Edit: one thing that I saw IMO the past 2-3 games is that the team was pressing a bit. I'm hopeful this win takes a load off of them mentally.

i don't think it was losing to Tech that was seen as a problem so much as *how* we lost. I'm happy we responded tonight to a quick attempt at a mugging by a team that definitely saw that film. Tonight we didn't just dick around looking dazed. That was my big concern, and now I know they have the capacity to handle physical adversity.

I actually was treating this game as a must win, even though I didn't think we would. Not a must win to necessarily get to the tourney, but a must win so this team could verify that they were who they think they are: a legit contender for the second week in the tourney.

I chose satisfied.

A close loss to TTU would have bumped me to very satisfied.

A win and undefeated record would have me unfathomably be satisfied.

We have a good team. We should be 6-1 rn

Yep we look like a 7-10 seed in the tournament....Which is where I thought/hoped we would be. And we can't spin satisfied as a bad thing, it's a very good thing when expectations are high.

I do not think it is over if we lose to Okie St or the turds (but might step in front of a bus). Big10 looks strong enough if we make a run and beat some of the top dogs we will still be Ok. Hopefully we do not have to test that though

I actually looked at the title and was surprised I said "everyone" I meant it more as a joke and maybe as click bait. Should have said a few people.

Doesnt seem like a big picture kind of question... seems like a 7 games in to the season type of question to me ??

It seems like we've played 7 games so far this season to me. Oh you must be disappointed because of the secret scrimmage loss to Iowa State sorry I'll make it 7 games + 2 that didn't count. ?

Let me throw another one at you in my pre-season predictions I said that Copeland would be the most improved player after not being injured for an offseason. Through 7 games would you say that's been true so far this season?

Yes, although Glynn is having a much better year than last year.    Playing like a true point guard, and shot isn't nearly as flat.
