You know, Illinois has had it kind of tough this year. It's almost Nebrasketball-ish, their six losses in conference: three OT losses and tonight's killer. Man.

That was probably the sickest missed dunk in the history of basketball.  Did you see the reaction on Cope's face on the replay?  He looked scared!

A couple behind me left with us up by 2 under 1 minute. I asked if they knew how it ended and the guy deadpanned " we win on a last second 3."

They aren’t bad either.  It isn’t like they are getting blown out every single game they play.  3 OT games plus tonight.

 

This was a good win.  Not because it will help us later.  Because it won’t hurt us later.

They beat Missouri who is an average to an above average team.

Illinois is a team on the cusp of being VERY good.  I'm glad they didn't get over that hump against us.

well, ya gotta win these kinds of games, too. but this team needs to step it up if it plans on going to the post season. They're living dangerously right now. 

That said, we usually lose games like this.

Great to get the win but color me shocked that palmer the guy who played 7 second half minutes on Friday hit the winner, played the top and wing in the zone and essentially kept the offense going all night.  Love that we got the buzzer beater win but shoulda been the second in a row

True. Everybody in the Big Ten, with the exception of Purdue and Ohio State, seems to be teetering between good and not-so-good. MSU has been mysterious, but they're in a funk, no doubt. Hell, even Iowa has some life.
