Still a good sign.  I think this kid is the biggest steal of '17 for whoever gets him.  I can't even fathom signing him and Embery back to back.  That'd be among the best backcourt in the country in a year or two.

Two takeaways:

1. He seems to have a good attitude, and a good head on his shoulders (reminds me of Tai).

2. His highlight video shows a 6'4" guard who can handle the rock and finish at the rim in traffic (reminds me of Tai).

 

I really, really, really want this kid now.

Objectively, Mark Smith's strenghths are very close to what Tai Webster is doing well this season.  So, Mark Smith has an opportunity to step in next year and fill that same, precise role.  This is a huge opportunity for him.

But then . . . objectivity doesn't always carry the day.

A buddy of mine said he thinks his cousin is on the baseball team, and also a friend of his is going to run track here next year, that will always help in the recruiting process.

I'm reading that the head coaches of the two teams that are reportedly in the lead (Illinois/Indiana) are reportedly on the chopping block. That might help.

I'm really nervous Indiana is going to hire a big time coach if that happens and it won't matter.

Smith's team got knocked out of the playoffs by Simeon.

They ran a box and 1 at him.

Had they won that game, they would have played Nana's team at state
