I would love to see him as a nice power center option. Defensively I feel he could play at the D1 level in the middle like the centers we see at Cincinnati and could provide some bounce on the offensive end. Can't link his freshman tape on here but I like what I see from him and he's local which can't hurt us in recruiting him.

I saw him play this summer and was really surprised how much his skills have improved at IW. He's not a Big Ten type center, not even close, just doesn't have the physique to hold off big guys backing down. But he could definitely protect the rim in a defense that pressures out on the floor. Wichita seems like a good fit, but I'll be interested to see if we offer. Might be a sign that we're going to change the way we play defense.

Different players. I think Hammond will be a decent Big Ten center by the time he's a senior. Thik's just not, well, thick. I like him, saw him playing with Khyri Thomas this summer and, like I said, was really surprised at how far he's come skillwise.

I was thinking about him the other day because of how our defense is evolving, thought maybe we might look at him this spring. He does have an offer from Wichita, according to 247.

Copy the link from youtube and paste into the dialogue box.  If the link lights up blue (showing an active link) then the video won't show and it will just look like a link that you can click on.

 

If you look in the area just above where you type your post, you'll see the buttons for bold and italics and so forth.  Just to the right of the button where you can click to put in numbered paragraphs and to the left of the icon that looks like a polaroid photograph, there are two icons that look like chains, one linked and the other not.

 

If your link lights up blue like an active link, then put your cursor on the link and click on the "unlink" button and that will make the video show up in your post.

Ideally I would love to see Thik go to Nebraska (I went to high school with him). But I do not think he is what we need in a big man. He is 6'7-6'8, but with a very long wingspan, and very thin. I would not mind seeing him end up at UNO.

I know this is a different Bol than Thik but didn't want to open a new thread since I have no clue if he's in NU's purview; Really just thought it was interesting that Bol Bol seems like a stud prospect with a sweet name. Bol squared is the son of Manute Bol.
