busticket Posted June 3, 2017 Report Posted June 3, 2017 That's a pretty good crop of kids our state produced. Better than most years. I am curious to see where Bratton ends up. Quote

jimmykc Posted June 3, 2017 Report Posted June 3, 2017 (edited) Two thoughts: 1. Any interest at all in Wingett for NU 2018 class? 2. I understand Father Flanagan has taken another step toward sainthood. Allen should be right at home with coach Huggins who has also advanced a bit further toward satanhood. Hate to jump in on this one, I really do. But the issue was when we (fill in blank on how you portray it) on Arop. Chubick Sr. was mad because it was late for him in the recruiting cycle and he missed some possible opportunities because he was "committed." I think everyone thought they were doing the "right thing," but they were all coming at it from different angles. Quote
khoock Posted June 4, 2017 Report Posted June 4, 2017 I would still take Arop. Wish that wouldnt have fell through. Redshirting him wouldve been perfect next year. Chuck Taylor and jaimes2000 2 Quote
Fullbacksympathy Posted June 4, 2017 Report Posted June 4, 2017 I'll withhold my judgement until the offer is officially taken back from Arop. If the offer still stands after a year of prep school and Arop commits here, then all parties upheld their end of the agreement, in my opinion. As for Wingett, yeah. I think that kid definitely needs an offer. He's a D1 prospect without question, and his dream is to play at Nebraska. Sign him. Quote

kldm64 Posted June 5, 2017 Report Posted June 5, 2017 If I had my choice of only taking 1 player between Wingett or Chang, I'd take Chang. Quote

Norm Peterson Posted June 5, 2017 Report Posted June 5, 2017 I'm thinking a 2018 class of Wingett, Chang and Arop would be just what the doctor ordered. Assuming cozrulz is a doctor, that is. Quote

AuroranHusker Posted June 5, 2017 Report Posted June 5, 2017 Chang & Wingett in a year would be my preference over this particular Arop family member. Quote
khoock Posted June 5, 2017 Report Posted June 5, 2017 Anybody know if the Arop bridge is completely burned? Or if our offer still stands about joining with the '18 class? Quote

Miles prematurely offered him, and Arop suffered a tough injury and never really improved as a player. Edited June 5, 2017 by TimSmiles Quote
khoock Posted June 21, 2017 Report Posted June 21, 2017 For those of you interested (and with a twitter) there is a short video about Arop and the Omaha Talons Academy on the @greatbigstory twitter page. Quote

I guess we can all wonder whether his jump shot would have improved if he had been working out in Lincoln as a possible redshirt since June as much as it did while at a prep school. Quote

Same logic. how is that the same? we forced aguek out by telling him to go to prep school. morrow left on his own. my point is that miles told aguek he wasn't ready to play here, but then goes and gets thorir who is not ready to play here. kind of confusing. and now aguek is getting some big offers, and he wanted to be at nebraska.
