Who is Jim Rose?

He does drive time Omaha with Gary Saddlemeyer. And he was PBP guy for Nebraska football until the stress got to him and he quite that gig.

I thought he had moved to Pierce to be a Blue Jay that sold Dorthy Lench. I really didn't know he was still in Nebraska or the radio.

Don't TV guys give their opinion? I agree Kerr is horrible but I see nothing wrong with the comment, it is what it looked like.

It will probably get me burned at the stake here in Tucson, but Kerr has really disappointed me in the broadcasts.

 

 

This is the same guy who said Miles deserved to be tossed and took 5 minutes after everyone else in America to figure out that they didn't start the clock at the end of the NC vs ISU game. He's been pretty bush league.

I feel a little bit for Creighton fans.  Some are friends of mine.  But those that are friends of mine are also Husker basketball fans.  There are many of those.  They just don't post on message boards.  But there are far too many awful Creighton fans for me to be on board. 

 

That being said, they were never as good as anyone thought they were earlier in the season.  A veteran bunch that came out very focused in the early to middle part of the year.  Buying into defense even.  But leopards don't change their stripes.  Not a good defensive team.  They cannot dream about getting a stop in a big moment against a good team unless they just miss.  And as the season went on they younger teams caught up with them as you would expect.  They were a damn good mid major team playing in a little bit better mid major league this year.  But the new Big East obviously should not even still be called that.  And those Creightion fans that think they are better than Witchita need to have their heads examined.  I don't even think they are better than we are as the season ends.

Jim Rose was also the host of the Husker Watch party at the Rococo...so he does still play a role in UNL Sports.

I don't feel for a single one of them. A. They think we are uneducated about basketball and have posts like this on their board from Friday: "Baylor looks slow and their zone does not look spectacular." B. They are assholes who stay stuff like this: "Looks like the moment is too big for Miles and company" only to have their team lay an egg two days later...again.

 

Since next year has officially started for both teams, we'll see you later this year, Jays. I'm sure you will enjoy your stay at PBA.

And that viewpoint works for me as well:)  Especially guys like Double Douche, Tyler A, and the rest of those dbags on the message board over there.

McDermott was one of the greatest players of all time

Wragge was one of the greatest three point shooters of all time

Gibbs was one of the biggest thugs of all time

 

Obviously a greatly disappointing end to the season, just like ours.

Would have liked to have had another shot at them this year but I guess next year at the PBA will have to do.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed being at the game tonight. Couldn't wipe the smiles off our faces. As bad as we played in the first half Friday, at least we played defense. Creighton just laid an egg on offense, played no defense and looked totally outclassed. It actually made me feel better about our showing on Friday. But the main reason i was smiling was the thought of how it must feel to be a jays fan and realize this was your team of a lifetime and you just watched them get smoked. With what they lose, things look pretty bleak in jayville next year!

Perhaps a day will come when the CU fan's bread and butter, "Talk to me when you win a tournament game" will get flipped on them and they will have to listen to "Talk to me when you make the Sweet 16" from Husker fans.

 

I'm aroused just pining for that day.

Why do we even acknowledge them? I hate the fan base but the more we talk about them, the more they see it as us being jealous about their recent success, even if it's not the case.

 

They talk about us all the time...are they jealous?

One could argue that they talk about us because we're they're favorite team 7 out of the 12 months of the year
