Huskers are supposed to play at Indiana on March 5th. Any chance game could be moved to a neutral sight if there are structural concerns?

The pacers have offered the use of Bankers life field house if they needed it

Would that be an advantage or disadvantage?

I read somewhere that the women's team is scheduled to play tomorrow and they will proceed with the game.

Yeah they just decided to keep fans out of that area of the arena for the women's game - apparently the metal that fell is decorative only and is only in certain parts of the arena, so it'll probably be a pretty quick fix.

Apparently they did consider playing the Iowa-Ind game in an empty arena. For some reason Indiana dismissed that idea pretty fast, which may answer a question posed in another thread.  ;)

A few years ago didn't we play OSU a day or two after the reg season ended because of a weather postponement? I would guess UI and IU would have to do that as well. Would be a brutal closing stretch for Iowa heading into the B1G tourney, which would start 3/13 - it'd be 3/6 at MSU, 3/8 home vs Ill, and then maybe 3/10 at Ind.

Indeed, that is what happened.  It was January 13, 2007, and it was the same day as the women's game at Kansas, which I had planned to go to on the Fastbreakers bus trip.  When I found out that the game was "originally" postponed from 11:00 to 19:00, I gave my ticket to my Neihardt resident assistant.

But then, when I returned from the game at the Phog (a 63-54 win!), I found out that the men's game was postponed to March 5 and that the RA retained my ticket to return to me.

Don't you love when things work out?

I would say advantage Nebraska, from what I have read the players feel as though the fans are on top of them at Assembly hall. And it wouldn't be that way at bankers life IMHO.

Their games will be played at Reassembly Hall, once they've finished the reassembly... seriously, though, it was a non-structural steel plate that fell down & it doesn't appear that this situation will affect the remainder of their home season (in fact, the IU women are playing there tonight).
