We are ALL talking about dancing, which we should.

But what I haven't seen mentioned is Top 25 votes.

Teams 1-5 in the B1G are currently ranked, and us being #6, after a hot streak and a win at #9 MSU, how many Top 25 votes will we receive tomorrow?

Also, if we go 2-0 this week, heading to 8-6 in the B1G, on a 5 game winning streak... Could we be ranked in a week?

Discuss.

Win the next 4 and we'll see.  18-10 and i think we may crack a poll at that point.  Same if we go 5-1 and the last win is wisconsin.

would be nice to crack the final one after making the sweet 16 ...

We are getting ahead of ourselves.  This is a 14-10 team, albeit one with a nice RPI.  Talk like this leads me to believe it's going to be a rough week keeping the players focused.

They'll do a much better job of it than us.  Plus, they have coaches.  ;)

Hopefully the losses at Penn State and Purdue, and the opportunity for payback, keeps them grounded.

Our schedule down the stretch has only one top 25 team in the last 6 games.  That's good if you want to have a chance at winning every game.  That's bad if your focus is getting into the top 25.  We haven't even locked an NIT bid yet, so a top 25 bid isn't even on my radar right now.

I think we'd need to win the next three to break the top 25

Will they win the next three ? make it so a0t0w0. :P

The next few games will tell the tale on whether Tim Miles has moved Nebrasketball into a new realm of success and out of the enjoy-it-for-a-short-while-before-all-hopes-are-dashed mode.

Couldn't disagree more (this tiem; I often agree with your posts).  If we lose some games we lose them.  It wouldn't mean all hope is lost and same 'ol.  The trajectory of the program will be the same--getting better, bit by bit.  All hopes shouldn't be dashed, there would still be lots of hope.  Many would take it like that, but it wouldn't mean the sky is falling.  More two steps forward, one step back, vs. one step forward, 2 steps back.

Too bad Minnesota won last night. They can still lay claim to be the league's "surprise" team if they keep winning.

Minnesota has a home game with Illinois before they head into a meat grinder of @ #22 Ohio State, vs. #16 Iowa and @ #15 Michigan before closing out their season vs. Northwestern.  Minnesota might be lucky to win two of their next 5 games.  We, on the other hand, have 4 winnable games at home and a couple of road games against teams at the bottom of the conference standings.  We should hope for no fewer than 4 more wins in conference.  If we do that, we should finish all alone in 6th place because I don't think there's any way in heck that Minnesota wins 4 of their last 5.

Minnesota has already played Northwestern twice this year. I assume they play someone else in their finale.

Correct.  It's PSU that they play to end the season.  The other surprisingly tough team at the bottom of the conference.
