Wow. I like Devries and he would've been a great hire for Iowa, but I'm not sure Indiana fans are gonna view this as a home run. 

Much of his success has been due to the fact that his son was one of the best players in MVC history.

So Iowa doesn’t get the coaching really wants AND Indiana has infighting about the hire and could still stink in a few years?

They won't hire Devries or any of the highly sought after coaches if they don't.  All of these coaches that have choices will demand sufficient NIL resources or they won't take the job.  Who they hire will tell us a lot about how much they care and their level of investment in basketball.
