Get on the plane.  Get into your own bed. Get to class. See your girl friend or whatever. Get to the gym and work on somethings Maybe Fred makes them work extra hard. Get in the cold pool.  Get BB healthy for Monday.  Get the game plan ready.

We as fans need to be ready to blow the lid off of Pinnacle and help these boys to get back on track.

After Monday we see what needs to happen next.

Wow! Missed the game live due to  City Council meeting and after viewing the recording I fast forwarded through a disappointing performance.  PSU forced so many early turnovers and our defense, half court and transition, wasn’t very effective.  PSU looked to be much the better team.  Hope we are at full strength against Michigan.  A top effort will be necessary.

Morgan got 2 fouls in 90 seconds...  Without Berke inside what we are trying to do on defense isn't going to work with Morgan.

Correct.   Just pointing out the obvious about Meah.   We have a dilemma with post defense, particularly without Berke.

Classic reason why that particular stat is not a fair one. Gavin looks lost far too often to be in the permanent rotation.

I’m starting to wonder what’s worse, offering nothing or looking lost?  I do agree I question what he’s doing on offense at time as he’s either in the corner not necessarily ready to shoot or he’s on the wing 8 foot beyond the 3 point line.  Guessing he probably hasn’t had a whole lot of run with the first team offense in practice either

Spot minutes would be important if he's earned 'em. I just don't see Gavin being a fixture for bigger minutes any time soon.

Except for a good 2nd half vs Northwestern we looked like the worst team in the conference on this road trip.  I was excited to watch us possibly get a 2nd road win on this trip.   Instead we look like we weren't ready to play, weren't really very interested in being on the court.   We get dominated by the bottom team in the conference.   Brice and Juwan need to be leaders in a game like this.   Defense and rebounding used to be a JG strength and always gave great effort.  Now it depends on the game.   That was not a 1st or 2nd team all conference performance from Brice.  I try to watch every Husker game on tv (and attend a few).   I should've found something else to do last night.   That was ugly and not worth watching.  What team shows up on Monday?    Anybody's guess....

Horrible take.   No understanding of the profound weaknesses of most of our players.   Bitch about roster acquisition.  Coaching has been very good all season, having to put this lineup out there every night.

About roster acquisition...Do you feel like we aren't competitive enough on the NIL front?

It will help that Michigan plays on Friday while we will be sitting in our own stink at home.

I'm rooting for the Wolverines to win a tough game against Michigan St as the winner of this rivalry will be in first place in the conference and would be due for a let down game. Michigan has the type of squad where they don't need their A game to win so we will need ours for sure.

Last night we essentially started the game with four guards.  In no way, shape or form did we handle PSU's pressure.  The number of turnovers were alarming.  They kept their big in the paint and we could not penetrate when, and if,⁹ we broke free of the pressure.

So my concern is that we knew the pressure was coming.  The crowd was small and a non-factor.  Over the tv, I could hear players yelling wolf.  WTH.  More often the pressure included a double team, meaning someone was wide open.

No conclusion, simply udder disbelief that our team failed to adjust to their defense.

Maybe we should have flown home after the Northwestern game and then flown to Pennsylvania on Tuesday?

It's the same schedule we kept flying to the West Coast playing in Oregon on Sunday and Washington on Wednesday.

I was just musing on why we played so poorly last night.  Maybe we would have been better getting home for a couple nights.  What's a flight to Chicago?  A little over an hour?  Plus you aren't changing a timezone.  Just a thought.

Perhaps we were a little hung over from the game vs Northwestern

Hard to say.  I think we're middle tier in the league.   When we got desperate late in the portal season, we paid VERY amply to get Meah and Berke.   Enough that it's been a bit of a locker room problem because we have a couple guys who are DUDES making considerably less than those 2 guys.

I don't think it would be accurate to blame everything on NIL, although I think we're pretty average there.     This is a job where you have to try harder on all fronts.   Fred has admitted he doesn't like recruiting.   How much his heart condition holds him back I don't know.   But we need to work harder in reaching out to Nebraska high school coaches, and in recruiting overall.   This is a tough place, but I think we have things to sell--great fan support and attendance, facilities, and recent NBA guys reflecting high levels of player development by our staff.  I realize one could say that none of that matters anymore; it's all $$ now.   But we have to do something--add a great recruiter, make a total commitment to roster acquisition, probably have Fred get more engaged (and also get more of his buddies contributing to basketball NIL).  And perhaps make better decisions on portal offers.   Perhaps it wasn't poor identification of talent, and we got the best we could get.  But the point guard selection is an example of portal disaster.   All just my 2 cents.

I worry we're getting all we can NIL wise. Any $s not specifically designated for basketball by the donor likely makes its way more often toward football. We are entering a very important time to make sure we are relevant in football with the potential of a giant breakoff by SEC and Big Ten and a few other schools that are most relevant and committed to football.

Compare his stats to Gary's...  Gary needs to pull his head out and be a leader!  He's just too inconsistent. 1-7 6 points in 30 minutes and 1 flippin rebound  ugh
