Thought this interesting. If we can sneak in we have experience.

Looking at projections right now, I would give us chance to get to the sweet 16 even as a 10-seed (depending on draw).

Just win and get in.

This conversation with the wife hit me like a bus.

Me: Blabbering on about the bubble and how weak it is, but also Nebraska needing to win and everything in between.

Her: So what has to happen if Nebraska wins all three to play in March Madness.

Me: Oh nothing— if we win two, we’re likely in. 3 would be icing on the cake.

Her: So they control their own destiny. Why are you so worried about other teams.

Me:………………………….. touché.

WE control our own destiny. Go out Saturday and take it. It’s ours if we want it bad enough. Screw bubble talk!

*whispers* next bubble update will be tomorrow everyone!

Some times it is rough when you realize that the women you married is so much more level headed and easily smarter than you will ever be.  My wife does so much better than me when filling out a bracket.  Reason? She doesn’t have the same problem I have when I am reading all these web sites. Watching tv shows and doing all my research.  She often tells me I pick who I think will win and she knows there are some teams I just can’t pick to win even if I know they are going to do well! (Creighton, Duke, any team coached by Calipari, Sampson or Pearl. 🤷‍♂️

My point is that we have to play very good basketball to win against anyone.  I am not certain what team shows up.

Gotcha but that is true of most teams.  You have to play very good basketball to win.  Even teams like North Carolina are very inconsistent so you have to play well or you get beat.

Depending on where you look, OSU and Indiana are projected to make the dance.

I think this would be good for us because OSU and IU would likely be the last four in, meaning Nebraska won't have to play in the "play in" game. We have better resumes than OSU and IU.

The final week is going to be crazy.

I have do that too. My wife thinks I am looking at porn. BUT NO, I am looking at pictures of pies, cookies, ice cream at resturants that give huge portions.  I dream of one day getting to go to these places to eat until I am in a Sugar Coma.

Bubble Watch 2/28

- According to T-Rank, our biggest rooting interests tonight are Davidson over VCU. This is the biggest game by a longshot. VCU is definitely on the bubble. Our next four would be Kent St over Akron, Eastern Mich over Central Michigan, Cornell over Penn, and Iowa over NW.

- My personal Bubble Watch:

Davidson @ VCU: As T-Rank mentioned, this would be a huge win, but I wouldn't expect much. This would be a very bad loss at home for a VCU team who is doing well.

UCLA @ Purdue: Actually think we want UCLA in this one as that win is 5 spots away from becoming a Q2. They can't get blown out.

Iowa @ NW: I will say it's kind of a tossup though Iowa is closer to falling out of a Q1 game than NW is. We also play Iowa twice so...

Would be interesting to have Purdue on a 6-game consecutive losing streak like we did this season.

on espn bracketology we are the last bye, playing kansas in Denver, pretty bad draw

I.d take that in a heartbeat. Tons of talent but no where close to all being on the same page. Not a good team. Of course saying that means they would pull it all together for us.

I wouldn’t worry about VCU…
