nuhusker7 Posted December 20, 2024 Report Posted December 20, 2024 A hill that I will die on is that all postseason brackets in all sports in all levels should be only based on results. Predictive measures or perceptions of who is good should not matter at all. Whether someone (or some algorithm) believes you have a chance of winning should not matter. It should only be based on who has earned their spot. 10 hours ago, hskr4life said: Here’s our current team sheet. Result based metrics pretty good, but the predictive don’t like us nearly as much. I kind of expect a letdown after the Hawaii tournament, but I hope I'm wrong and the guys realize the importance of going out and beating the brakes off Southern; it's our last chance to impress the computers before getting into the B1G meat grinder. cornfed24-7 and CanadianHusker 2 Quote

I would say home against Minny and possibly home against Rutgers are the two. Any road game I wouldn’t call a must win, and the way Rutgers season is going, they could be coming to us with a losing record. Quote

Yeah, I was just looking at the NET ranks without looking up the quad cutoffs and thinking of avoiding any Q3 or Q4 losses since that was such a positive for our resume last year. After checking...Minny, Rutgers and USC are the 3 we have to beat at home and probably need to beat UW on the road. Other than that, getting to .500 in B1G games should be enough to be in comfortably. Quote
