for a point guard again really soon.  Good news for Ulis is he got a free trip to Spain.  Bad news is that he will most likely never play a game for Nebraska.

I'm not 100% positive that he made the trip.  An article I recently read said he stayed home.

They should just make him use the $34,800 to buy his own ticket back home.

Disappointing. Not sure how much this will truly hurt us from a basketball perspective, but I certainly thought he’d be a good defender and sure ball handler (which we need). Hoping we can find a good fill in.

That all being said, I’m mostly disappointed because this kid’s character is going to be dragged through the mud and most likely his college career is over. All for doing something that millions upon millions of college aged to retirement aged dudes do all over America. Admittedly The biggest issue is supposedly gambling on an Iowa athletics game. Very stupid thing to do and I’m sure he’s kicking himself. But I still feel bad for the guy!

Assuming Ulis is permanently disqualified from competing and loses his eligibility, will he count against our scholarship numbers?

That's my question. If he's deemed ineligible, I wouldn't think so? But the staff may not want to wait for that to play out, as it may be a while before they find out one way or another

I got "middle-class man James Palmer's" vibe from his highlights. Not quite the athlete or length as JP, but I saw some similarities. Long striders, smooth, like the ball in their hands, strokes looked kinda similar... Good pick-up! Doesn't look much like a PG, but certainly looks like he has good court vision and passing skills.

He bet on college sports underage under an assumed name. That's some 'you're good as long as you don't eat these apples from this tree' sort of deal as far as the NCAA or casinos are concerned.

Lewis seemed less than thrilled about grad transfers being able to transfer so late.  That is not a player you can replace this late in the game for a Ball St. level program.  2nd team All-mac player.

I didn’t know that aspect over underaged thanks. Either way I feel the same.
