Nebraska finally fills that 12th scholarship with the commitment of Matar Diop and it's with the sort of dude you'd want at this point of the game...big, has some ups, can make some outside shots, is a little raw.  Diop, from Dakar, Senegal, spent two years at NBA Academy Africa prior to a yea at Keystone Athletic Academy in Erie, PA.

This was awesome to hear this afternoon.  This is more than I would have dreamed of at this point.   Love that he has only been playing for 6 years with athletic ability.  Those types can really figure it out at any time.

with bk’s injury history i would not be surprised if we see him this year but i’d assume the staff sees him as a developmental player

Man he looks like a helluva get for a late pickup.  Love how fluid and athletic he is.  Looks like he had offers from ASU, Pitt and Seton Hall so other teams saw something there too.

If y'all get a chance, give this a watch. Gives good perspective on his journey and how he plays. Also, based on the thumbnail he did take a visit. No one locally knew though, which is kind cool.

Lesson learned from past experience: Make sure he took the correct English proficiency exam and that you uploaded the results to the necessary eligibility body.

I saw this too and was like Holy Smokes! I'm over here trying to learn Spanish for at least a decade. We are not the same

Gary Sharp mentioned on the radio this morning Diop will not be making the the Spain trip.

Don’t know if his three point threat is legit but if he’s serviceable on that end he could really help us.  Defensively there’s no reason he can’t be elite.

I'd say Dedoch at 1, and currently ET and Thor stand at 10, but rescaling is always an option.
