6/14 is like two games of 3/7, which I would definitely take as season averages for attempts and makes per game. That would produce 43% shooting from beyond the arc. I would absolutely take that.

The wild thing is we had 4 games last year where we took as a team 14 or less 3s

Over the last 16 games last season, starting with the Illinois home game January 10th, Kesei basically played 25+ minutes a game.  Conveniently he took 100 3 pointers in that 16 game stretch and made 42.  So he attempted 6.25 3's a game.   I'd love to see him get to an average above 7 3 attempts a game, especially in conference this year.  Penn St had 2 guys in Lundy and Funk average 7 3 attempts per game in conference last year so surely we can get our best shooter that many looks.

Thanks.  The east side of Japan is far, far away from the west coast.

When the Omaha to Fremont area flooded a few years back people asked me if I was ok in Lincoln. Lincoln did have some potential issues with water because it's pumped in from Ashland but otherwise it was business as normal.

Tokyo isn't really mentioned in these reports so I'd assume that geographically it's far enough away that it's relatively unaffected.

Putting up highlights and numbers against NBA starters. He does look the part. Different than watching Tai Webster in these tournaments when he was in college. Tai looked the part athletically, but skill-wise he really struggled to handle the ball and shoot it against this competition.

Jimmy's unsubstantiated theory of the day:  In my home computer investigation of the "Hiroo" mystery I came up with a possible translation discrepancy since I find no mention of the name Hiroo in Tominaga's previous information. Hiroo Tominaga was a maintenance foreman involved in a famous 1985 crash of a Japanese airline Boeing 747 in which over 500 people lost their lives. He committed suicide after the cause of the crash was attributed to the poor maintenance. Perhaps the Japanese/English translation added the Hiroo when the name Tominaga was entered. (Just a possible theory unless he has an unreported middle name).

We are witnessing the birth of a bona fide star who could potentially generate major buzz at the FIBA World Cup 2023 for the co-hosts.

"What he’s really improved upon is his off-ball movement. He’s really gotten better at that. He really looks like Curry and the Nebraska coaches helped him with that, too.”

Man, it is nice to hear this.
