KT is at least a reliable FT shooter. It kills me to see CJ not be a great FT shooter

Totally agree. I would 100% trust KT’s decision making (I’d say his basketball IQ is one of the highest on the team, at least of those who see the court) and combine that with he’s shooting 100% from the FT line this season. CJ made a terrible pass down on our end and then non chalantly dribbles in the paint and either loses it completely or flips it to a CU player. Both of those plays we thankfully overcame with CU’s play…

Every time I look at the stats of this game I find something new that amounts to a combination of Creighton arrogance and/or lack of ability to adjust on the fly.

After watching the game back, I think it's the former more than the latter. There were adjustments to be had they just chose not to make. Certainly seemed like they went in thinking they could just get by without exerting too much effort and just never flipped that switch when it became clear that wasn't the case.

I said in another thread, that one of the players looked almost disinterested in playing hard.  However, watching the highlights, that was kind of the case for a lot of the game.  It's almost as if they were like "we'll get over the hump here in a few" and it never happened.  They didn't even show much interest in fouling at the end of the game to try and extend it.  Nebraska is awful at shooting FT's and though they were having an off night from deep... the law of averages could have come into play.

Our SOS will be just fine regardless of whether Creighton wins or loses the rest of the season

This is true.  It's actually gone up a notch since yesterday to 29 (and FWIW, Creighton's SOS is 36 now):

Strength of Schedule
Components: 105.7 39 98.3 33 102.2
Overall: +7.43 29 0.00
Non-conference: +2.69 101 0.00

🤪😙

Geez.  You guy's are putting the cart way before the horse right now.  It's okay, it really is...but!

* the Creighton game is over...we hate them.

* we have to always focus on the next game.  We are playing like a team, which is a vast improvement over last year; but goodness, we have our flaws; specifically offensive production.

* frost lost a lot of one score games and NEVER got over that hump.  We have to win close games.  That means we have to make big shots as the clock is winding down.  Can we do that?

* can we quit having 5 or 6 minute scoring droughts?

* who is our go to scorer down the stretch.  Is it Tominaga?

Keep up the optimism.  My rose colored glasses are in sight, just not on as of yet.  Most of the participants on this board didn't think we would have a winning conference record.  We started out 0-2.  Sooo, I am guessing that now, many of us now think we are going to win more than we lose in conference?  Or is our season now successful based solely on beating Creighton?

We are better than last year.  This team is much more enjoyable to watch.  But unless we improve our scoring, we will not be playing in any post-season tournament other then the Big Ten Tournament.

Donnie Downer

Nobody's saying we're a good team or that we're gonna be good or anything @Huskerpapa

We're all just basking in the glow of a 5 game losing streak for Tom Shatel's favorite team.

Sipple would admit he made a mistake if proven wrong.  Shatel has totally ignored, as far as I've seen, that he made that comment.

That's because it's the biggest clown statement that any self respecting sports journalist could ever possibly make...unless it was meant to troll, which if it was then immediately takes Shatel out of the conversation of being a legit journalist.

He left that conversation long ago. He must have dirt on someone to justify keeping him around this long
