Looks like Oregon renewed Chuck Martin's contract.

I wonder if we'll be hearing something from them about Gates today.

Coach Howard recently starting following 2 coaches with West Coast Ties....the first is Bil Duany who is at Nevada and has a nice resume. The second is Tony Bland.....

Sounds like Jai Steadman or one other I’m not gonna name but would very excited for as I consider him one of the finest men in college basketball coaching.

Hmm, when you factor in taxes and cost of living differences, it appears the departure from Nebraska was, pretty much, a unilateral move.  I guess it may be fair to surmise that Gates simply felt this was a better opportunity.

The hiring of Zeigler confirmed my (quite obvious) prediction that the new assistant would be a Black coach who can recruit.

Armon Gates appears to be the new assistant at Oklahoma in the spot that Doc was keeping warm.

I wonder what the next chapter is for Doc.

I'm also intrigued, given that the last chapter was lived inside a van parked in a Norman parking lot.  May be time for Doc to drive the Sprinter off into the sunset.
