Seton Hall moved rapidly to land Holloway of St Peter’s.

Yeah the least surprising move in the history of college sports.

Lol...this was never a matter of IF, and the immediacy of the when is of no surprise.

I just thought all those super recruits really liked the lil’ Penny commercials from back in the day…

Second least surprising move in the history of college sports.  Remember, he also has Larry Brown on his staff there.

Clearly an April Fool's. Barry Collier is still our basketball coach, right?

Goodman specifically brought up Barry because he's pissed at Barry for waiting until Jordan's contract went down to fire him.

How many coaches has Butler fired over the past 30+ years? Maybe Goodman doesn't realize that this is the Butler way; they just haven't had to deploy it all that much.

He seems to be upset about the delay, not the firing itself.

Not so ironic maybe but Barry’s leaving our job was timed pretty crappily, too.  We were fortunate to get someone of Doc’s caliber.

"That's nothing.  Try taking your school to it's first NCAA tournament and have your A.D. let your contract run out as you walk off the floor (resignation letter in hand)"

Unless we plan to fill the "special assistant" role again?  🤷‍♂️

Think that was just a role they created for Doc to stick around another year.  Was hoping they would use that money towards hiring a top notch assistant coach with strong recruiting ties.

We have one assistant coach opening and I believe two "staff" positions.

The staff positions are sort of hybrid roles that can fit as desired.  Different programs call them by various names and pay is likely all over the place.  The key is that they are NOT "on court" coaching positions.
