HuskerFever Posted January 26, 2020 Report Posted January 26, 2020 Legends die young, but their legacy lives on forever. RIP, Kobe. Quote
Vinny Posted January 26, 2020 Report Posted January 26, 2020 Incredibly sad and unfortunate news. Quote
hal9000 Posted January 26, 2020 Report Posted January 26, 2020 So unbelievable! And Less than 12 hours after LaBron James had overtaken him for 3rd All-time scorer in NBA history. RIP Mamba. Quote
Bugeaters1 Posted January 26, 2020 Report Posted January 26, 2020 Sounds like one of his daugthers was on board as well. Quote

AuroranHusker Posted January 26, 2020 Report Posted January 26, 2020 Crazy how fragile life can be. I had figured that Kobe might have been in Philly on Saturday night, since LeBron was about to pass him for 3rd on the all-time scoring list, and Kobe Bryant had been a Philadelphia-area H.S. player. Man, this whole situation is sad. Never take a day of one's life for granted, that's for sure ! Bugeaters1 1 Quote
Handy Johnson Posted January 26, 2020 Report Posted January 26, 2020 #BlackMamba.... leaves a Wife & 3 little girls. Quote

REDZONEDAN Posted January 26, 2020 Report Posted January 26, 2020 I’ve never been a fan of Kobe, but damn this news sucks. RIP Kobe. Quote
AuroranHusker Posted January 26, 2020 Report Posted January 26, 2020 There were 9 people on board the helicopter. All 9 died. Quote
jason2486 Posted January 27, 2020 Report Posted January 27, 2020 Unbelievable tragedy. My heart goes out to him and his daughter as well as the wife and daughters he leaves behind...RIP Kobe. Quote
basketballjones Posted January 27, 2020 Report Posted January 27, 2020 Speechless. I’ve been without words all day regarding this news. I’m an expecting father, and the vision in my head of him grasping for his daughter in their last seconds, knowing the helicopter was going down, is destroying me. I grew up as a huge MJ fan, but admittedly only caught the tail end of his career. I was in love with the “MJ attitude,” and never thought we’d see that again. But Kobe man.... dude was so fun to watch. And just a ruthless killer. I’m gonna stop cause I can’t do the man justice... RIP Kobe, his daughter, and the other humans on the helicopter. Thoughts and prayers to all the families involved. Handy Johnson, jaimes2000 and Bugeaters1 1 2 Quote
Handy Johnson Posted January 27, 2020 Report Posted January 27, 2020 If anyone saw the interview tonight with Jerry West, the man who believed in him as 17 year old & brought him to L.A. just heart wrenching... Bugeaters1 1 Quote
jimmykc Posted January 27, 2020 Report Posted January 27, 2020 Tragic news for all 9 aboard. As one who has had some experience in these situations, I will bet that it was a case of disorientation and pilot error. Should have never been cleared to take off, especially if the pilot was using visual clues to navigate. Handy Johnson 1 Quote
colhusker Posted January 27, 2020 Report Posted January 27, 2020 Despised him while he played, based on who he played for but damn he was good. Add in he had gotten his life in order and was such an ambassador for the game. He is one of those folks you will remember where you were when you heard the news. The world lost a good one. khoock Posted January 27, 2020 Report Posted January 27, 2020 My admiration for Kobe grew vastly after his retirement. I loved how committed and seriously he took his role as a father and a husband. basketballjones and Handy Johnson 1 1 Quote
cipsucks Posted January 28, 2020 Report Posted January 28, 2020 None of us know when our time is up. We just need to live each day like it will be our last. Love more, help more, listen more, forgive more. Be more tolerant of the douche bags from the east. ;) Bugeaters1 and Handy Johnson 1 1 Quote
