Saw these guys at Pershing.  They were really good.

I saw Alex Chilton at a club in Deep Ellum in Dallas after I covered the first round of the NCAA Tournament in 1989. CSU beat Florida in a bit upset. Great show by Chilton, too.

I think we may have just hijacked @Husker Hoops Penitent's thread.

Not a problem guys, I know we all love them. (Hoiberg and Chilton). I saw him at the Ranch Bowl years ago. I wish I could have seen him in the early 70s w/ Big Star!

Saw “Big Star” in ‘94 at First Ave Mpls. Alex & Jody Stephens played with two guys from the Posies. It was very, very cool ?

Yet he's the knobend that traveled 200 miles to ask the ridiculous ISU questions at Hoiberg's introductory press conference.

And questions like that is why he did. The interest level was through the roof.

He shouldn't sound so bewildered by it, or above-it-all, when he's actively encouraging it. Plus he could've easily conducted a phone interview with Fred at a later date, instead of showing up at a Nebraska press conference, and trying to make it about ISU fan's feelings.

So much of this is wrong, but it really isn’t worth discussing further.

Just like Standhardinger.  But, dammit, it's fun.  A whiskey/Nyquil chaser might make it more tolerable for you...?

Hey, we should check and see if Boehm can book them for a halftime show at PBA this season.  Since the Shim Shams have lost some members (may they rest in peace.)
