thrasher31 Posted April 11, 2019 Report Posted April 11, 2019 Has a paywall up but we know calloo from Oklahoma State is visiting. Other than that no clue. Should find out over the next few days Quote
khoock Posted April 11, 2019 Report Posted April 11, 2019 Also, two transfers from UNLV. Joel Ntambwe (6'9 Fr F) averaged 28 min 11.8 pts and 5.5 reb and shot 40% overalll and 38% from 3. Other UNLV guy is a 6'8 Fr F/C who played about half as much as Ntambwe but shot 47% from the field overall. So we are up to 4 guys visiting. Quote

Ntambwe also recently visited UCONN and is given high praise from UNLV assistant coach saying he will be a pro in two years and would have eventually been Mountain West player of the year had he stayed with the Running Rebels. https://www.ctpost.com/uconn/article/UNLV-transfer-Joel-Ntambwe-who-visited-UConn-13736378.php Quote

hhcmatt Posted April 12, 2019 Report Posted April 12, 2019 Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua is 6'8" 230#. Real raw offensively but rebounding/blocks/rim defense is there. Reportedly he's pretty bright and lives in the gym. HolyBobpilgrimage 1 Quote
NWUhusker Posted April 12, 2019 Report Posted April 12, 2019 Do we know what the eligibility situation is for each of these guys? I assume the non-juco guys all sit one year but I can’t keep up with all the new waiver “rules.” Quote

How about a phonic pronunciation of his name? Quote

Otherwise: • Top-five JC prospect Jervay Green - Immediate• Former Oklahoma State forward Maurice Calloo - mid semester 2019-20• UNLV transfer Joel Ntambwe - 2020-21• UNLV transfer Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua - 2020-21 Handy Johnson, NWUhusker and mwm89 3 Quote
bigFRED Posted April 12, 2019 Report Posted April 12, 2019 (edited) Give me Ntambwe, JTT, Jervay, and Cam Mack and I'll never ask for anything again. (until next recruiting period) Edited April 12, 2019 by noahjb24 thrasher31, Ashfan, HolyBobpilgrimage and 1 other 2 2 Quote

NCAA approved multiple waivers for players last season, who were leaving due to a coaching change. Its not a guarantee, but it is possible that Ntambwe and JTT could be eligible for 19-20. Quote
Norm Peterson Posted April 12, 2019 Report Posted April 12, 2019 Anyone hear if Mack got a conditional/unconditional release from St. John's? Quote

Would not surprise me one bit if Ntambwe and Tchtchoua got a waiver to play right away since there was a coaching change at UNLV. Add Green and Mack and throw in a guy like Ntambwe and we become a very interesting team next year. Still probably a big man short but man we will be fun to watch. HolyBobpilgrimage 1 Quote
MitchMcGaryMunchies Posted April 12, 2019 Report Posted April 12, 2019 Cam Mack Not sure if this was posted already, but looks like he’s on record telling a reporter that he will not be going to Nebraska. Quote

Old news. That was when he hadn't gotten a release yet and Mullin hadn't yet stepped down. Things have changed. You gotta keep up. Quote
