Btw, tonight is one of those rare nights Creighton is on TV at Conlee's.  Once in basketball, three times in baseball, and 12+ times when their football team plays.

We all know it's Standhardinger's fault. This team is struggling with their bats, even when they make solid contact. Standhardinger knows his way around keeping balls inside the park.

I would take Standhardinger today for one year of post graduate studies if he could start immediately and not sit out a year.  He was a Heck of a player.

If memory serves, weren’t he & Cristopher Neiman both from Germany & played semi-pro ball on “club” teams? And didn’t Standhardinger transfer to Hawaii? His dalliance in the Sculpture Garden clouds my recollection of the facts...

His days as a player are over now.  These days he just likes to go downtown and have a nice gnocchi with butter sauce at Cuccinello's.
