I don't have much to say, I'm mostly tired. It's been a long day.

- I think this was a solid win. Tech was really athletic and caused us some fits. Their shooting lacks a bit, or at least it did tonight.

- Tai and Jack were money.

- Morrow is developing into the monster we hoped we were getting.

- I think the free throws won us the game today. Did a good job of getting to the line and if they can hit at close to that rate, that will be a terrific development for this season.

- Curious to see how they handle playing away from PBA. This weekend is largely going to be in front of empty, energyless gyms. Can they create their own energy? If they can, I think they've got an opportunity to steal a win or two.

That's what I've got for now. I'll let you all fill in the major details.

We struggled getting into any flow offensively.  Did a good job of getting to the free throw line.

Refs were very inconsistent from half to half again, even from play to play.  One play the La Tech guy travels and we get called for a reach.  The next time down the court, Watson gets pinballed by 2 La Tech guys, and they call traveling.

Roby has very good talent.  Needs to get to the speed of the game.  Got beat 2 or 3 times off the dribble.  He will get better once it slows down for him.

Need Gill to be the player we thought he could be.  I thought he would be like Tai, and take players off the dribble, to find a shot or open someone up for a 3.  Haven't seen that from him yet.

Tai and McVeigh had a very good game.  I think Tai had 5 turnovers and 0 assists in the 1st 12 minutes.  Finished with 5 turnovers and 4 assists to go with 23 points and 6 boards. McVeigh hit some clutch 3's for us.

Very good effort defensively.  Need that effort every night, until the offense finds some flow.

Nice win, now need to get at least 1 win in Anaheim.  2 would be a good trip.  3 would be a miraculous trip.

*Long, long day.  That said, a very successful sports day!

*We just beat a good basketball team.  They had athletic and basketball skill.  They are fairly deep, have springs on their legs and could shoot the ball.

*We played very good defense.

*We played hard and generally were aggressive in our approach

*Our offense was decent, but we need more than a couple of players to carry the offensive load.

*Glynn struggled.  Not one of his better games.  Not sure if he is a bit gimpy or what, but his mojo was missing in action.

*MJ needs to fight for his offensive looks a bit more.  He gets position and either passes on his shot, or does not aggressively go to the hoop. He may be trying to hard to be a team player.

*Ed played really well in spurts.  Man I love him around the rim.  He simply needs to be more consistent.

*Jack went nuts in spurts.  The dude was feeling it.  But instead of focusing on his offense, I was impressed with his defense.  He has come a long way on the defensive end.

*Tai was a flipping stud tonight, both offensively and defensively.  Sure he turned the ball over a bit much early on, but he was attempting to kick start the team.  Great game Tai!

*Roby was a bit tentative yet.  He needs to just let it go (so to speak).

*Jordy is still learning.  He needs to stop being passive.  Listen Jordy, if you are going to foul, then earn the foul.  Don't let these dudes close to YOUR rim!

*Anton is still not the Anton we expect...in very limited playing time

*Evan played well.  He is not an offensive force, but he moves the ball well and he is a very good defender.

*The best freshman tonight was Jeriah.  He is apparently still earning his stripes.  But he did a lot of good tonight.

Good win!  This is a tough stretch coming up, and this game is hopefully a springboard to a successful spurt.

Gill looks lost out there.

Tai was 11/12 from the stripe.

Watson looked bored/unmotivated/sick?

LA Tech was very a fast and physical team.

Horne looked good.

I don't see any minutes for Fuller.

Remember those days when we didn't want Tai at the line. Kid has improved immensely!

I think Watson is either gimpy or sick.  He wasn't on the bench very often, but two times that he was I saw him sitting and talking to the trainer.  He looked like he wasn't comfortable.  If something is up there, the fact that he played 30 meetings is admirable.

Gill needs to make a bucket or two.  He looks lost and just needs some confidence.  We've seen him and his potential in the exhibition/scrimmage.  It's there, just need to find it.

These next few games away from PBA are going to be very important.

Watson had migraines the prior game.  wonder if something is going on.  An off night for him.  Really like Horne.  Morrow's hands were an issue tonight.  Like what I've seen out of him this year but I hope the hands thing tonight was just an anomaly.   Jack McTrey was the man.  Jacobson had the shot clang going on; hope it isn't the old body building kills the jump shot syndrome.  B)

I haven't been looking at my Twitter feed...does Chris tweet as much during the game as BR seemed to?

Yeah. I've been satisfied with BR's replacement so far. Plus BR is still covering the team for Huskers.com fairly actively, so we essentially have an extra media member covering the team this year.

On the season, Tai Webster has 53 points on 30 field goal attempts for a very impressive 1.77 points per FGA. Fantastic efficiency. McVeigh isn't far behind with 44 points on 27 field goal attempts for 1.63 points per FGA.

It's early but Anton Gill is 1-11 on field goals for the season so far. Not good.

That's an old wive's tale. They aren't body building. They are training to be better athletes and to have usable strength that can improve game proformance. I believe the phrase used is "functional strength to improve athletic performance."

Getting stronger only helps shots, both in adding range and in being more consistent. He sample pool isn't so large but I don't remember his  shot lookkng any different last year.

Posted something about this on the College Basketball board. Kind of incredible when the roster is likely at least 10 players for every team, isn't it?!?

The entire bench was booted for going onto the floor + one of the guys on the court.
