This is the coaching, they need to be allowed to run more, and stop this ugly half court game.

Too good of players to be running a slow paced, bogged down style.

Do me a favor and give me a quick run down on the schematics of the current offense as you see it. They've been running when available all year.

Not much movement today.  But a dub's a dub, especially on the road in conference play.  Whoop whoop!

Interestingly, the Indiana win only counts as a top 150 RPI win because their RPI is so low.  I would imagine you can blame their IPFW loss for that.

Anyway, RPI is easy to game and somewhat meaningless.  I just thought it was interesting to see ours so high with 6 losses.

How big was that Dayton victory? I'm sure that helped our RPI a good amount by getting UCLA and Virginia Tech on the schedule.

Our non con looked tough when scheduled... it looked tougher before the season.

It it looks even tougher than that now.  It would take a really solid team to come out of that non con with less than 2-3 losses

WOW!  What a game, and great win.  Interestingly, no movement at all.  Still #82.  But check out Louisiana Tech.  Up to #82, that's turning into a pretty decent win for us.  Strength of Schedule is now #4, and Kenpom predicts a 9-9 B1G record.

So, Kenpom is predicting we'll only win 6 of our next 15 games?

Let's see what they say after we beat Northwestern on Sunday.

It's improvement.  Yesterday he had us at 8-10.

not surprised we didn't budge. Technically, it's a game we were expected to win, at home, against a near-peer in rpi. We're supposed to win those games. At least according to the cold, hard calculus of algorithms.

If we beat NU Jr., that'll probably bump us a few spots upward. Hopefully we'll hit some free throws for that sucker.

Yeah it should.  Northwestern has a much higher KenPom rating than Iowa, and we are expected to lose by 1 Sunday.  So a win will pop us a few spots I would think.

I still remember people calling it normal Nebraska crap schedule.

But, those people also laughed at the GW game, but haven't said a word once the conference schedule started.

And didn't V Tech loose too?  or does that make a difference?

Yeah, VT lost at NC St, 104-78. Not sure if that makes much of an impact on NU. I kinda doubt it....

ESPN RPI seems to be more kind to the Big Ten than Warren Nolan.  I'd but curious to know as to which site is more accurate.  Sorry for the ugly formatting..RPI numbers for Warren Nolan is under the "rank."
