I agree 100%. I'm shocked at lack of offers to centers. 1 sprained ankle away from being at same place as last year. The other thing I don't understand, is if you are not going to be a big team, don't you have to go after a couple pure shooters?

Exactly, in an ideal world you want to be a team that owns the boards and wears you down inside, or else a high scoring, fast shooting machine that other teams can't keep up with. Right now we are neither and I'm not sure which we are closer to.

Arop is more than likely already N. I doubt the staff would pull his schollie bc he his going to be a great defender and has really improved his ball handling plus he has a great work ethic.

I see us signing a 3 man class next year, but four is totally possible with the annual average of two transfers per team.

So I would go with Arop, Batts, Flagg, and Sims. But there are also some other good players out there I wouldn't mind signing like Bede, Teddy Allen, and another C.

Yes, Not sure how that would look after the big splash of seeking his commitment during an in-home two years ago; And doesn't he have a younger brother coming along who is also reported to be a good BB recruit?

 

I believe I read somewhere along the way that Chang enjoyed playing with Aguek.

Yeah...Miles hasn't been able to fill out a roster since he stepped foot in campus.  Can't imagine we are in the position to be cutting recruits loose.  Give me Arop over an unused scholarship.

Them pulling the scholarship would not surprise me, it just means he has not developed into the player they expected. A lot of people thought his initial offer came way too early. Evaluations can get conflated a bit when a kid is already committed somewhere. If they do cut him loose let's see what interest he attracts.

True, there was criticism that Aguek was offered too early, but what I'm saying is pulling his offer now has implications far beyond just one player.  What message does it send to other potential in-state recruits; and Chang?

 

Especially after Aguek seems to have had a good showing in Las Vegas.
