  1. Yep after 3 hours and four dropped calls and/or stopped texts. My youngest son (30) tells me go to who ever the account is under and go in and change everything yourself. Took all of 10 min. I hate young people AND I HAVE TICKETS IN MY HAN… UH… UNL TICKET ACCOUNT. Now hope I can get it open so they can tear…uh… scan my ticket

  2. In the transfer portal era it's not a waste of time to build relationships with potential transfer portal entrants. In the meantime, our NIL money is probably better spent recruiting the MVC.

  3. Good luck. I have found that nothing beats a face-to-face to clear things up, especially if you are of a certain age and appear amiable but slightly confused (which I find easy to do).

  4. I was kind of afraid of this. About 2 weeks ago I think my email address got hacked because I can’t get to it at all. Had it for years and poof gone. life has been pretty wild in the life of Sliverbacked the last year and a half. Working full time, coaching football, cleaning out and have auction for my folks house if 59 years. Getting the house ready to sell. Selling it to my youngest ( which helped). Oh and putting my dad in a home. other things have gone by the wayside as I have been doing all this. Like my email and Facebook just kind of disappearing. any hoo I can’t get to my ticket page or Husker app because I can’t get in because my email is gone and can’t change my email address because I need my old one to get a code to change to my new one. so I am going to the ticket office tomorrow wish me luck.

At least he wasn't riding a scooter and assaulted by a former NFL practice squad player who went off the deep end

  7. My dad is quite the tech-whiz thank you very much... No, I have had my identity stolen, and was able to get it back with very minimal damage done.

  8. We're at a level where we need to be pragmatic with our NIL. Is Bynum going to come in next year and play 15-20 minutes? Is he going to play at an all-conference level in 2-3 years? If we think the answer is yes then I think we up our allocation towards him and maybe the outcome is different. Reading through this thread he has all the tools but it's a question of when or maybe if he puts it together. On the other side look at the haul of guys we brought in this season of transfers who have 1-4 years of experience in college basketball. We were able to flip Morgan from Minnesota because we didn't have NIL tied up. At some points we probably lower our ceiling but this seems to be a good strategy to keep our floor high.

  9. I read an article a few days ago outlining the NIL budgets for all sports of the top schools around the nation and Ohio State's NIL collectives report spending somewhere around 3 times as much as Nebraska's. You can check that all out here in the section labeled Projected NIL Collective Funding by NCAA I School: https://nil-ncaa.com/collectives/ We compare most closely to Iowa State, Missouri, Kansas, Minnesota, etc. Right at #30 overall. Keep in mind that private schools are not included in this survey so schools like USC, Stanford, Notre Dame et. al. are also likely ahead of us too so we're probably more like #35 or #40. So yeah, it's pretty sub par.

  10. Pretty damn impressive to win Oklahoma Gatorade Player of the Year as a sophomore.

I'd assume we'd see him in the opener

  12. Correction, it was a 20 minute scrimmage + another 20 minutes of situational basketball Nebraska went 8-25 in the paint Only 7 turnovers

  13. I'd put the over/under on the eventual number of alma maters for Bynum at 2.5

You could probably hold a seminar somewhere on HHC advising everyone on how to regain a stolen identity. I'm guessing that very subjective is a huge worry for all of us here.

  16. I would think this would give Creighton an advantage over Nebraska in basketball NIL funding. It would be interesting to see the numbers and also a break down of how much NIL money every player in college sports receives.

  17. Creighton didn't appear to be on the list. As good as they are there is certainly a subset of kids from Omaha who are not going there.

  18. Is he going to Creighton?

  19. There isn't an allegiance to the basketball program; but there are pockets of pro Nebraska with the coaches and players. Where you say 0%, I would suggest there are those that still bleed Nebraska red. Then of course there is football and baseball and many Olympic type sports that are solid husker red.

    Scrimmage vs UTAH

Alright you guys talked me into it. Back all in on the Rollie bandwagon. If he can give us somewhere in the range of his last year numbers and Griesel’s senior year numbers, I’ll be a happy camper. Maybe I’m just overly concerned with his and Ulis’ lack of being an outside shooting threat.

  22. Somewhat of a monumental day for Nebrasketball NBAers. We will have THREE former players on NBA rosters tonight. https://huskers.com/news/2024/10/22/three-huskers-on-opening-night-rosters I believe this is the most players we've had in the league concurrently since the 1998-99 season when we had Eric Piatkowski, Erick Strickland, Mikki Moore, and Tyronn Lue cashing NBA checks.

  23. Worster is a stud!, I have no doubt he is going to lead us where we all want to go! Just a humble dude who’s willing to do what it takes. His role will be to distribute and play defense and can make FTs late in games along with Brice to close out close games.

  24. I may have been a bit unclear in what I was trying to say. I meant to say Berke is the biggest reach in terms of comparing his style of play to Allick's. I agree with you, I think Berke is going to be 5x the offensive player Allick was, but also probably 5x worse on defense. I was just trying to find a starting 5 that resembled our best starting 5 last year that won a ton of games down the stretch.

FWIW. I didn't receive an email and called the ticket office after talking with a few people who had already received their notification. They said there have been some accounts that didn't receive the email but the tickets should show up in your account. I looked in the app and the tickets were there. So maybe check your account on the app and if you have issues give the ticket office a ring.
