Report reply HuscurAdam 337 Posted July 8, 2021 In his almost 7 minute ASU highlight tape he shows good skill, but there were literally only 2 clips where he beat his man going left. He is entirely right-handed and someone a decent defender who is locked in on the scouting report should be able to shut down. Then again, he averaged almost 15 PPG against Pac 12 competition so what do I know? Looks like a volume scorer though, so I'm not sure he's the best fit for DONU. Report reply Nebrasketballer 613 Posted July 8, 2021 Considering the alternative was for Nebraska to have an empty spot left from Banton deciding to keep his name in the NBA Draft… I don’t understand how anyone could think this is anything other than a great thing for the Huskers to get a player or this caliber with legitimate success at a Power6 conference school and that was getting looks from NBA teams before deciding to come back to play another season in college. He’s a grad transfer, so he has one season of eligibility, so he literally fills Banton’s empty spot for ‘21-‘22, and will leave that spot open again for the 2022 recruiting class. It’s a win-win. It’s like a reverse Benedict Arnold. Saw the box score from the game he dropped 43. It appears he is the only one that night for ASU who figured how to put the ball in the basket. Team scored 55 I think. Quote Share this comment
