Nice thing for him is that he could still wear the same adidas shoes.  Probably his wardrobe wouldn't need a huge overhaul.  Prolly already has some red stuff.  And the music when he hit that last-second shot, well, he'll feel right at home.

This. Would. So. Not. Suck.

Apparently, he has already sat out one year as a red shirt. Not sure if that had anything to do with an injury and, if it doesn't, I don't know that he would be eligible to apply for a medical redshirt for this season. Someone with more knowledge than me would need to answer that question.

if by some chance both Mangok and Jordy want to come here, what happens?

oversign and assume somebody transfers?

Well...assume may not be the appropriate verb in this instance!

So.. Lets say this happens:  Mangok Mathiang transfers here, gets a hardship waiver and we get him for two years.

Then, a current guy on this team transfers(Fuller?) and we are able to sign Jordy Tshimanga.

This allows us for depth at Center. Hammond and Jacobson can play alongside some true bigs and allow for other guys to play true position.

Well, an extra year of eligibility would potentially be in the cards.  Injured 10 games in so if Louisville plays 30, then he fits the criteria.  Hoping he's healthy by next season.  Oh, and also hoping he comes here.  :)

I think the extra year is a pretty long shot. My understanding of the rule is that the threshold is 30% of the season in D1. Louisville would need to play 34 games for him to get under that. That's obviously not going to happen. If only he'd have gotten hurt one game sooner...

Hammond is not a 4, it would be Jacobson and Morrow.

I am thinking there is a back up PG that would be the first to transfer out before Fuller.

Get awfully thin at PG if Evelyn leaves.

if both bakari and hammond were to leave, we'd have room for 2 bigs and a point guard.

We'd have to FIND 2 bigs and a pg this late in the game.

Would think our chances of landing Tshminga are better if Mathiang can only play one year.

I was thinking 1/3, but I believe you're right that it's 30%. The argument would probably be that but for Louisville's self-imposed post-season ban, which wasn't his fault, they probably get to 34 games.

If you lose a guard off this roster then you need to sign another guard, in case of injuries, fouls, or whatever you can't just have three on the roster. Unless you have faith in Trueblood or think that Roby or White or McVeigh could play a lot at the 2 if needed.

Not to rain on anyone's parade but the word on my street is more "perhaps perhaps perhaps" than anything close to this being a sure thing. Let me see that Mathiang is transferring first. At least someone didn't write an article in the paper making it awkward for him today.

I think it's notgonnafoolmeuntilitisadonedeal lane. ;)

Bet it sucks addressing letters to that address. Get writers cramps before you ever make the city and zip

Pueblo, Colorado, 81008.

(Honest to goodness, I was looking up the address for Pueblo, CO. There had been a TV commercial that preached the address including the zip... and THIS PIC is the 1st one that showed up! lol)

I am not disagreeing per se', but we have not seen any type of denial or rejection from anyone whatsoever.  I am kind of thinking that where there is smoke, there very well could be some fire.
