I just hope Akoy isn't saying bad things about us to him. We wanted him to come here twice, and i don't think anyone has a personal grudge against him for not coming here. He shouldn't have any bad blood with us. Not to mention Akoy's family still lives in Nebraska.

I know he gets to play an extra semester, but wouldn't it have been nice if Akoy was transferring in the summer and they were both coming here?

Let him go, Let him go ......

Already did

"At the top of his list" is probably a bit of hyperbole. "In the top three" is probably closer to accurate. But information in the article provides a basis for a glimmer of hope.

In addition to Akoy, a current freshman five-star at Georgetown is a childhood friend of Anton Gill.

Appreciate the brief synopsis, swan.

I read it and I'll agree with this assessment. I don't know where the top of the list stuff comes from. I certainly didn't get that from reading Anton's quotes. But top 3, nonetheless. He's visiting ECU this coming weekend. Article talked about how he basically grew up on that campus playing pickup and whatnot. His dad went there and he knows those coaches real well. You have to wonder if this is a legitimate destination or if this visit is out of respect for his dad and those coaches. Sounds like Miles laid it all out there, track record of developing transfers etc, and told him the impact he could have. Anton mentions playing on the big stage so that is why I wonder if ECU is a real consideration. He said he wants to decide real soon after the ECU visit so we should know in a week or maybe a short time more than that. My gut tells me this is between us and Georgetown and Georgetown may be hard to beat with all of his buddies out there. Sounds like he spent a ton of time with Andrew White while he was here so hopefully they bonded.

I things might cool on all transfers for the next week or so. It is finals week for many schools this week and next. And if I am thinking of being able to transfer I need to make sure this semesters grades are good enough, or I need to graduate. So I think it might be a while beofre the flood gates open and there is a lot of action.

This might have been posted somewhere else...he visited ECU this last weekend

Thoughts on Gill? Do you guys think he will tell of his ECU visit and announce a decision timeline or will the next news we hear be his commitment to whatever school?

He probably can slow play like White did last year because there are enough landing spots for him.

Anton Gill Sr. played for ECU so there is a connection. East Carolina is in the AAC now so it might be high enough on the food chain for him. Georgetown is going to be tough and I have to think they're the favorite.
