No doubt Norm.  If we have a reasonably healthy Leslee and Moses for this whole year, this whole season would have looked much different up to now and going forward.

Just as dissappointing to me is that we burned Hammond's redshirt and he still isn't ready to see the floor with both these guys out? I would think the coaches could coach him up up on defense (assuming thats where the problems in his play exist) and had given him a few minutes in these recent games. If he couldn't play the last 5 games how can we expect him to contribute with B1G play here?

Yep, I absolutely agree with this. If Hammond isn't going to see time with the injuries we have had, then it was pointless to not redshirt him.....and he really could have benefited from sitting this year and gotten stronger. It was a pure waste of a year for him.

Jake certainly should have redshirted.  I cannot imagine how you can spin it otherwise...with one exception.  If Jake was currently sitting on the bench in street clothes right now, many fans would be having a fit.

But...we cannot get Leslee and Moses back soon enough.

I'll say it again, could be wrong, hope I'm wrong, but I don't see Leslee returning to do anything significant for us this year. I realize he's been doing 'drills' or whatever for some time now, but how is he to be expected to immediately hop off the IR in game playing shape, and keep up with B1G bigs in key moments in conference play? Seems a little unfair to Leslee to expect immediate Impact play. Again, could be wrong, hope I'm wrong but this was an ACL tear. You don't just come back to full speed, with all the quick side to side and front back movents to play defense at the level. Watching him 'warm up' before Indiana and he's standing flat footed shooting 3s. Didn't look too exceptionally mobile. Now maybe he's not showing everything there since he's 'warming up' for a game he won't play in but still.

Now as for Abraham, I know you don't want to risk refracturing the hand, but I don't see why they can't pad the heck out of that and throw him out there to spike some balls around and change shots and passing lanes for a few minutes a game as soon as the cast comes off.

I always kind of figured Moses could give us a few minutes/game even with a cast on.  Hey, we were never expecting much scoring from him.  Rebounding would be nice.  But could you imagine how he'd hold down the middle defensively with a hard plaster cast on one hand?  That's almost like a weapon.

"Don't you come through this lane.  Unless you really want me to bring the hurt!"

OWH said Leslie is farther behind because he hasn't learned the plays. Huh? What could we possibly be doing that he is that unfamiliar with? Here's the only play he needs to know, " Get yer a** in there and get the ball"!

Do you have a link? I kind of find that hard to believe... you don't hear that very often in basketball, and it's not like we revamped the offensive playbook this year.

I don't recall where but I heard the same thing...probably yesterday's presser
