I'm guessing that the new head football coach is going to be introduced at halftime. I heard someone mention the other day.. Prior to any of this happening...that the halftime program, whatever it is/was, could be changed. I'm sure it always can be, but this was a very odd comment to hear. It's a cruel twist of irony that a Creighton post is being derailed.

I guess we'll find out if they roll out the new coach on Sunday. That's how you tell the Jayskers from the other guys in blue in attendance.

Was going to say the happiest people in Nebraska right now are Creighton people. We just took our own crowd out of the game I'm afraid.

 

 

They can trot out the Shim Shams in bikinis and it's certainly not going to effect the level I'm going yell at during that game.

 

I'm all in favor of making a Shim Sham reference whenever possible, that being said, those Bluebirds are in for a MAN sized beating.

I like the embarrassment comment from Miles 

 

As long as he's here I'll never forget the NU-Purdue game in Lincoln in 2013, where Miles called timeout late because he was embarrassed about people leaving the game early with Purdue comfortably in front. Told the team he never wanted to see it again. 

 

And by the next season people are only leaving home games early because the W is in the bag.

 

Not only does Coach Miles not like to be embarrassed, but he tends to make sure his team does something about it. Is it Sunday yet?

Honestly, I'm glad we have a coach who seems to embrace this rivalry.  Our last two coaches tried to downplay it, particularly Collier.  Meanwhile, the Creighton coaches, Dana Altman especially, approached this rivalry with heated passion.  The results over the last dozen years or so speak for themselves.  I think they've won 11 of the last 15 meetings.  Time to match fire with fire.  And it sounds like that's what Miles has been doing.
