That has to be good news for us, unless he also texted the Richmond basketball beat writer.

 

 

At this point it's gotta be down to us or Maryland, IMO.  He's strung Richmond along for years and I don't see that changing.  If it is us, great, welcome to Lincoln young man.  We'll be really excited to see you play at PBA.

 

If it's Maryland, then I would be led to believe that helps us, even if just a little, when it comes to Glynn Watson.

So over on the other board there's talk of White visiting Maryland this weekend. Someone stated that. I haven't seen a report or anything, but it wouldn't surprise me if true considering how quiet his recruitment has been.

I don't know what to think if the Maryland rumor is true. On the one hand there's reason to believe he'll jump right on board with the school close to home. On the other hand, we've shown interest for a long time and he visited here. I almost feel like he's known he's wanted to come here for a long time and just drug this out to see if and what his schools close to home could offer and if they could compare to Nebraska. If Maryland was pushing hard for White, you would think we would've heard more. It feels forced. Almost like White is having to press Maryland to have interest in him, and now he's finally showing up for a visit (if true). I know his recruitment has been quiet, but you'd think if Maryland had a real strong interest, we would have heard so back when we were first contacting him right after he announced he was transferring.

Just my hope or guess, but I think we are in good shape. All of him avoiding the situation just feels like he's already a silent commit just making sure he's absolutely sure.

Hope you're right, but it's been a strange recruitment. I'm done with trying to read recruits'/transfers' minds. I wish we could just fast forward through this stuff and get an answer.

To me he is the key to linking last year and this years likely success to great teams in 2015 and 16. Right now we don't have a guard pg or sg that will fill terran's shoes if he leaves after this year.

With him i think we can maintain what we've built, without taking any step back. While I think Tai will be a nice player, I don't see him touching where Terran was last year.

I don't think this means he is gone at all.  I think he is going to make a decision after the Maryland visit because then he will have all the information he needs.  Think it could just as easily be Nebraska as Maryland after his visit.

If we are being honest...,it would be a shock if he picked us at this point. He held out this long, now all of a sudden he's visiting Maryland late in the game. I always thought he was leaning towards staying closer to home. Looks like that will come to fruition.
