Team New Zealand with some sort of pre or post game ritual dance

You don't know about the Haka???  It's like kind of a big thing in NZ...the All Blacks are famous for it!

(I assume you were kidding here)

Wasn't joking...was not aware

NZ Rugby team is very famous for doing that before their matches.

So do we send a tutor for him to start the year with?

He will basically get special treatment because he is an ambassador for the university on a global stage.  He will either not have to worry about anything until he gets back or get crazy long deadlines for stuff.

Was just wondering. I am sure we have students who do this in many of the departments at the University. Was just wondering how that was done.

Also now a days with Skype and things like that I guess he could actually "be" in class anywhere in the world.

Helped that he took summer courses.  With the academic support staff that the Huskers have, I am not too concerned about Tai catching up.  Impressive that he has been a starter the past few games.  Also impressive that he will be covering the likes of Rose, and other US guards when they play.  That may be ugly...but it will be our HUSKER player out on the floor.  Represent us well Tai!

Sooooo... September 2nd, New Zealand vs USA. Tai's gonna be going up against D Rose, Curry, and Irving.

The last time a point guard from down under played against the USA in the world championships while still in college was Patty Mills. He went off in that game and it was a spring board for his future. Let's hope history repeats itself.

I'd settle for 10 points, a few assists and rebounds.  Good enough to flash, but keeps him hungry.  Tai's got potential.  You don't go off against greece as a 17 year old like he did without it -- but to get up to the level of an NBA player takes something petteway is trying to show him -- that work ethic.

let him taste it, but keep him hungry.

Also Matthew Dellavedova capitalised on his performance at London in 2012 into a roster spot with the Cavs.

Tai will either be the starting PG or will play decent minutes in a back up role. As long as he keeps his turnover count down he should play. Getting to go up against NBA calibre opposition will be great preparation for next season.

He hit a huge shot late with about 30 seconds left (5:50 or so on the video) after just about turning the ball over.... still hit or miss but the shot was encouraging (not sure if it was a 3 but was fairly close).
