There was an interesting comment in this interview with Miles.

The portion that I thought may inspire some recruiting guesstimates here came when Miles said:

"We know this team overcame some obstacles in terms of us having a complete team. I look forward to the late spring recruiting period. We’re going to add some odd pieces to the puzzle and make us better and make us the type team that can go to the NCAA Tournament and win.”

It sounds like he knows he has the "odd pieces to the puzzle" to add...sounds like a foregone conclusion...and not good or great pieces, but ODD

Speculation is welcome on what/where/who you think the "odd pieces" are.

Seemed to be underplaying his hand a bit with that statement to me.

I agree it sounded like a foregone conclusion.  Seems like he might have a couple guys on the reel -- just not committed yet.

Maybe that's just it-that he can't comment on the recruits until they're signed-and like you said maybe he has them on the reel.

Maybe the ODD part is referring more to their class or where they are coming from. Odd as in transfers or grad transfers and not traditional recruits that come in as freshman.

Even the best-behaved children can be difficult and challenging at times. But if your child or teen has a persistent pattern of tantrums, arguing, and angry or disruptive behavior toward you and other authority figures, he or she may have oppositional defiant disorder (ODD).

OR

Odd:

a :  being without a corresponding mate

b (1) :  left over after others are paired or grouped (2) :  separated from a set or series

c :  not regular, expected, or planned

d :  encountered or experienced from time to time

e :  having an out-of-the-way location

f :  differing markedly from the usual or ordinary or accepted

So in theory the word "odd" may be spot on.

What do we need?

We need a low post defender and rebounder.

We need a dead-eye perimeter shooter, someone who can stroke it at better than a 40% clip.

Beyond that, we just need the returning players to make marginal improvements to their games.

If Shields gets a little bit better and Petteway gets a little bit better, if Pitchford improves his inside game and if Webster improves his outside game, we don't need a lot of other pieces.

It still would be nice to find that athletic big who inhales rebounds and a Marcus Perry-type 3 point shooter.

Beyond that, I think we have a pretty solid core of returning talent.

We just need depth. If one of those guys goes down, we get awfully thin in a hurry.

Only part that stuck out of the interview for me was the part about his dog. :/ Sorry for the loss.

My avatar pal and I could not agree more.

Myself also. That's just a tough moment in a person's life. Been in that room, and will be there again, and it hurts just to think about it.
