royalfan Posted March 10, 2014 Report Posted March 10, 2014 Thanks to all who participated in that. Several times I got chills. I have never been in a place like that where everyone came together and refused to lose. I knew there was no sit Sunday and what not. But it blew away my wildest dreams. Congrats Husker Nation. We deserved it with that effort!! colhusker, 49r, GATA and 3 others 6 Quote
cipsucks Posted March 10, 2014 Report Posted March 10, 2014 royalfan, perfect 3000th post. I got chills watching on the tube. This is a special time for a lot of Husker fans. Damn, man.... Silverbacked1 and 49r 2 Quote
AuroranHusker Posted March 10, 2014 Report Posted March 10, 2014 I'm not one to cry, but I had a few moments just prior to tipoff that a tear was in my eye.... more about the journey of Nebrasketball than anything. For Nebraska to dig out of the depths even this year & now to be in position to Dance by the end of this memorable night!! It's fun to be a Husker fan, especially sharing the moment w/ 16,000 of my friends!! Quote
elbens01 Posted March 10, 2014 Report Posted March 10, 2014 It looked and sounded amazing on TV. Wish I could've experienced it first hand. colhusker 1 Quote

unl Posted March 10, 2014 Report Posted March 10, 2014 I hope the "old bluehairs" see what a difference a crowd can make. That atmosphere was something unmatched in over 150 bball games and well over 50 football games that I've been to. The entire game was just awesome. Wow. Quote
TheNovice Posted March 10, 2014 Report Posted March 10, 2014 Thanks to the students. It was great. file://localhost/Users/pcuser/Desktop/temporary/Storm%20the%20Court.JPG (dang, had a court storming picture from the 200 level, but don't know how to post) You'll look back on this win years from now and smile. basketballjones Posted March 10, 2014 Report Posted March 10, 2014 I feel like a hipster, but I must admit it feels great being apart of something "before it was cool." Been a Nebrasketball fan for so long it just never felt like this was gonna happen.... Feels so good!!! Quote
royalfan Posted March 10, 2014 Author Report Posted March 10, 2014 Tremendous job by the students. All starts with them. Quote
hhcmatt Posted March 10, 2014 Report Posted March 10, 2014 After the first Husker bucket when no one sat down I knew we had this game. Seeing the Peltz and Gallegos introductions made it a little misty in my section. Quote

Red Rum Posted March 10, 2014 Report Posted March 10, 2014 I'm really proud of the crowd for following through on a No Sit Sunday and being so loud most of the game. I'm pretty sure I yelled out "Oh my God this is the greatest thing ever" more than one time. Amazing to be a part of. Especially after being remined this morning via twitter that the UMBC game happened and I was there to watch it. Too bad this had to be a sunday game and not a saturday game. I would have loved to just be waking up from a victory celebration. Those are the best hangovers. Jadler 1 Quote

ladyhusker Posted March 10, 2014 Report Posted March 10, 2014 Had a lot of dust in my section...that's what I'm claiming for the watery eyes during senior intros. Maybe it's the happily-ever-after girl in me, but Peltz proposing had me in tears. Nebraska Basketball has a funny way of bringing out the romantic in me. And then at the end of the game, I dragged my dad onto the court with me when I rushed it. He'd never done anything like that, so kind of a cool moment to share with him.
