Kinda funny how quiet Kent and Matt and Coach were talking during the post-game while Indiana held their senior day festivities.  Hilarious.  I mean, really, truly funny.

Composure.

Game plan.  This was Harriman's scout and game plan again.  He's accounted for 2 of our 3 B1G road wins.  I think Miles has put together a splendid coaching staff.

Wow.

Did I say wow?

We're as close as we've really ever been at any time in the last 15 years.  We talked about how some of Doc's teams might have gotten a bid if we'd beaten this team or that team.  But this year we're there.  Clearly.

Nustudent always said it could be done in 2-3 years.  Props to him for that.  I'm not going to give up on a guy who's not there after 3 seasons (not for that reason alone) and I wouldn't expect success like this as quickly as this.  But, damn, I guess it can be done.

Holy heck.

Wow.

A record breaking night:

1st win ever against the Hoosiers in Bloomington in 5 tries

1st 10 win conference season since 1999

1st winning record in conference since 1999

1st upper division finish guaranteed since 1999

1st time we've won 3 conference road games in the same season since 2009

I guess you could say we should party like it's 1999!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

I mean, I really don't even know what to say. This team is taking advantage of their opportunity. This is so different from anything I've ever experienced as a fan of Nebraska basketball.

- This game started almost exactly like the MSU game, and it had to. The Huskers led wire to wire. That's nuts. They completely understood what was at stake and played like it. They didn't look paniced or overwhelmed by the opportunity. They just took care of business. It was impressive.

- Pitchford's fast start was key.

- Shields had a huge game, too.

- Sounds like Petteway's knee got banged up. Played ok in spurts, but not vintage.

- Benny Parker did his thing again.

- Kept another opponent to shooting under 38%. I think it's something like 8 straight? That's impressive.

- Man, things are gonna be nuts on Sunday.

I mean, I honestly don't know what else to say. I'm just so impressed by how this team's played lately and tonight. Can't wait until Sunday!

Someone please combine my thread into this one.  Not wanting to steal uneblinstu's thunder but it was like everyone was starting new threads posting the kinds of random thoughts usually reserved for here.

Waitress at the restaurant was taking her time getting us the tab after the game...

Nate Hawkins tweet??? Here we go again... What's up with that?

huh?

Probably means we got this one...now it's back to work and beat Wisconsin.

Did Fuller not make the trip? I didn't notice him coming off the trip, and in the highlights he doesn't seem to be in the locker room. I'm surprised Wagner made the trip but not Fuller, who has gone to every trip but Iowa.

Wow...and we did it without Terran having a very good game.  Great team win!

True that Terran didn't score a lot but IMO he played very well. Shields was the beneficiary of a good game plan and Terran was all about TEAM not himself to let it work out that way.

About 4+ minutes into the game, Pitchford was outscoring the Hoosiers.   Boy that kid can shoot.

I'm not sure if it's Shields being healthier, being more aggressive, or both.  Petteway carried the team for a good month and now we have a couple of guys who can carry the load as well.

David Rivers played 31 minutes...his most of the year

Our bench of Leslee Smith, Benny Parker, and Ray Gallegos all had major roles in the win

Yogi wasn't a good match up for Tai.  He'll bounce back on Sunday.

Petteway gutted out 13 points when coaches didn't know if he would play. No doubt why he was chosen to be a captain at the start of the season.

My take is that (due to foul trouble -  a couple of which were silly fouls) Terran was not Terran.  I did get a kick out of the commentary that revolved around whether or not Terran was a Bobby Knight type of player.  My opinion is that nobody outworks Terran...that would greatly please Bobby Knight, not that I care.  Some of his shot selection would pi** off Knight like no other.

But I digress...my point was Terran played less minutes, and scored under his average.  He still was a significant contributor.

Reading your last sentence just got me to thinking. Think of the guidance that our freshman are getting this year and for the next two years of incoming freshman. Leaders usually don't show themselves till their senior year, sometimes their junior year. But we have 3 very strong leaders who are just soph. Could also throw Benny and David in there to show how to wait your turn and if you work hard good things happen. Plus I think our leaders will be leaders all their lives. Very good time to be a #Nebraskball fan.

"Other things worth noting.  This is the first time Nebraska has reached 10 conference wins in a single season since the 1998-99 season.  On the other side, this is the 4th time that Indiana has had at least 10 conference losses under Tom Crean."
