I already kind of detest John Bishop.  And for good reason: He's lame, mouthy, obnoxious, nowhere near as funny as he thinks he is, ill-informed, a bit stupid, and a little turncoat.

 

But now this. 

 

I figured le Cordon Bleujay fans would get their culottes in a twist over Miles' comments about it being tough for fans to stay interested in a blowout (and if they were in Omaha, they'd be up getting a beer, basically.)  You just knew they'd be in high dudgeon over that one.

 

But looky who's poking the hive with a stick.  None other than ... John Bishop.  Kinda makes you detest him just a little bit more, huh?

How can that entire band of idiots be too stupid to not comprehend that Miles was talking about the amount of fouls and not the score of the game?  You would think a national ranked team, would have a message board that doesn't resemble a dumpster fire.  It is truly a horrific board.  Cannot help but watch the inferiority complex. 

 

P.S.  according to one especially  moronic guy over there,  we were all ready to bury Miles a few weeks ago.  They are liars in addition to not having much of a clue.

Guy is a joke. He can say what he wants. He has no influence on the outcome of the games, even though he may think otherwise. I'm not worried about Creighton. They are a good team in a terrible league. I'm worried about how the guys are preparing for Purdue. Jays should be the last team on our minds. I find it hilarious that they get so fired up about one little comment. Shouldn't they be worried about enjoying their "once in a lifetime team."

One more thing: I'm amazed that a Top 15 team is still worried about a non conference game that they won by 15 points. Shouldn't they be taking shots at Nova or something? You don't see me still referring to the Miami game whenever Miami fans are getting excited about their win over Notre Dame....

Yes you are better off.  He is unbearable. Like Norm said, he tries too hard to be funny and it comes across awful.  He does the same thing when doing play by play for the Jays. 

 

All I know is 1620 better hire a good cohost to pair with him because Severe's new show and Bishop's suckiness (sp) could cause what use to be the best sports talk radio show in the state to plument.  But maybe that's a good thing.

Oh I agree 100%.  I bet 590 wished they still had Michael Grey.  I heard he was good, but never tuned in.  I've tried listening to their new show but Handley is terrible.  The only thing Unsporsmanlike Coduct has going for them is guests who have comitted before Severe left.

John bishop Is a joke and is a guy who had former association with the pinnacle sports network an now is with the jays. The guy was terrible with the Huskers and thank God we have world class broadcasters now. Whoever thinks we wanted to bury miles is a joke. I think some people questioned some coaching decisions in game etc but he was feeling his team out. Find me anyone who wanted him fired!?

Michael Grey was the only thing I listened to, especially with Kugler not being on local radio anymore.  Was bummed out when Grey went to Seattle.

And it doesn't stop with their hate towards NU.  If ANY fan base, team doesn't bow down to the almighty Jays they get upset.  They still to this day hate UNC.  They hate Wichita State (which I can understand).  The best part is, some of the Jays fans will talk about how Wichita is lucky they are in a bad league....Hmm...I swear CU was in that league for a LONG time.  All of a sudden they look down on the "little WSU" team that went to the Final 4 and is still undefeated.  They have made comments such as "Well we could win against those HS teams as well."  Huh, that's odd, you NEVER went undefeated and you NEVER went to the Final 4. But by golly, bow down to us!  We are better than NU and their 0 wins in the NCAA tourney (their argument every time).  

 

Their fan base has been and always will be the most sensitive fan base I have ever been around.  Its why I have a hard time even talking with a CU fan.  Its almost like they are trying to get my approval of how great CU is.  Sure you won some MVC tourneys and some MVC league Championships, but according to their fans NOW winning in the MVC (for WSU) is easy.  Yet they pound their chest all the time.  Sure, compared to NU's 0 wins in the dance you feel good about yourself.  But hell, make a Sweet 16 before you are pounding your chest and demanding National respect.  Other teams in the Valley have gone to the Sweet 16 (3 in one season), others have made the Elite 8, Final 4......you know who hasn't?  The Jays....but again, they have more wins than NU in the dance and that is all that really matters to them.

 

I also think they fear the fact that Miles has a little bit of momentum going and they know NU has a chance to really get a good following of fans in the near future.  They lose 4 starters that log so many minutes for them over the last 3 years.  How does Mac do without Doug?  Etahn? Manigat? Gibbs?  The stars aligned for CU to have a good season.  Doug walks on to give Gibbs that schoolie, Gibbs gets the 7th year, Wragge in his 5th year......I would love to see them fall flat on their face in the NCAA tourney.

I don't care much about Creighton one way or the other and only go to Omaha to use the airport so I obviously do not read their board (except for the frequent references here). It appears to me that in order to post up there you must agree to check a sense of humor at the door (if you have one). . Yep....the St Johns who crayton fans think is just the most athletic team were to play basketball! Oh and of course, before Big Ten season started it was stated we would be lucky to win a game...now of course everyone in the Big Ten sucks because we have played well. But, we shouldn't be surprised. This is the "fanbase" that has over 150 pars dedicated to Husker athletics. They will forever and always be obsessed with the Big Red.
